Blockers have are equiped with an anti-fog coated lens which fits over our SafeStyle prescription safety glasses with full UV400 protection.
IMPACT PROTECTION AS/NZS 1337.1:2010 Australia/New Zealand standard for personal eye and face protection for occupational applications. The AS/NZS 1337.1:2010 standard specifies minimum requirements for non-prescription eye and face protectors and associated oculars. Standard AS/NZS 1337.1:2010 also defines the basic characteristics to which all eye protection must conform with regard to: eyewear coverage, optical quality and minimum strength.
All SafeStyle protective eyewear products are approved under the standard AS/NZS 1337.1:2010. All SafeStyle protective eyewear products are also certified with SAI GLOBAL which involves annual audits and reporting to maintain a high quality product that meets all Australian and New Zealand standards AS/NZS 1336.1:2010. All SafeStyle prescription safety glasses are tested and approved to AS/NZS 1337.6:2010 All SafeStyle protective eyewear products are also tested and approved to ANSI Z87.1+ for American safety standards.

POLYCARBONATE UV400 All SafeStyle frames and lenses are made from 100% recyclable UV400 shatterproof polycarbonate, blocking 99.9% of UVA/UVB with a super-hard anti-scratch coating on all lenses. Polycarbonate was developed in the 1960s for aerospace applications and is currently used for the helmet visors of astronauts and pilots and was used for the windscreens of the space shuttles. Spectacle lenses made of polycarbonate were introduced in the early 1970s in response to a demand for lightweight, impact-resistant lenses.
Since then, polycarbonate lenses have become the standard for safety glasses, sports goggles, children's eye-wear and a variety of other uses. Polycarbonate lenses are thinner and lighter than regular plastic lenses. They also offer 100% protection from the sun's harmful UV rays and are up to 10 times more impactresistant than plastic or glass lenses. This combination of lightweight comfort, UV protection and impact resistance makes these lenses an excellent material for protective eyewear.

Simply put, UV 400 means that the lenses will block ultraviolet rays shorter than or equal too 400 nano-meters (NM). All UV waves come in different lengths as seen in the chart to the left

Since all these rays are shorter than or equal to 400 nm, they are blocked by the lenses - keeping your eyes safely protected.
This also explains why you can still see colour. The colour red has a wavelength of 680 nm. Since it's greater than 400- nm it's not blocked by the UV lenses.
