Union Budget 2016-17 has come up with landmark notification for Electronic Security Industry specially for CCTV. Basic Custom Duty (BCD), Counter Veiling Duty (CVD) and Special Additional Duty (SAD) on all the components of CCTV Cameras, IP Cameras, Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and Network Video (NVR) have been removed. Excise duty on finished equipment would be 4% if input credit is claimed. This move is Mr. Sanjeev Sehgal going to promote manufacturing of surveillance equipment in India in a manner similar to that of Mobile Phone Manufacturing. It will make product cheaper and affordable in the market from the consumer's perspective. It brings an opportunity for existing players and encourages new entrants to make their presence in this segment and cater to the audience more efficiently. This move in coming years will make way for other equipment like Alarm system, Access control, etc. to be included in this list. As of now a very little manufacturing is happening in India, mostly assembling is being done. With these changes assembling too would be promoted, if government brings in duty on assembled PCB as has been done for Mobile phones in this budget after giving relaxation on SKD for an year. Once this happens, then all assemblers would be forced to move to manufacturing in CKD, which would not be easy. This will definitely make way for manufacturers from China and other parts of the world for setting up manufacturing shops in India. The products would be become affordable for end users. It would bring the CCTV product within reach of large number of home users and small offices who have ignored their security needs because of the pricing. With increasing focus on Electronic Security Industry, there lies huge opportunity in times to come. The government has been initiating important steps to boost electronic manufacturing in India and hence the first major step came in the form of CCTV Cameras inclusion in generic product category for PMA Policy of Deity. And then followed up by addition of Electronic Security Equipment like CCTV, Access control, Alarm system, etc. as separate category in amended MSIPS Policy of Deity under National Policy on Electronics and further clarification on PMA Policy for CCTV and Alarm system stating 100% preference to be provided to domestically manufactured products. The Union Budget 2016-17 notifications has finally brought Electronic Security Industry in main league.

Activists Claim Fires in Aarey Deliberate, Demand More Security With regular fires damaging huge portions of the Aarey Colony and posing a severe threat to the area's biodiversity, many locals and activists have expressed the opinion that these incidents are deliberate attempts to reduce the city's green cover.

collect firewood or want to clear some land.

With this, the demands for increased patrolling and stringent action against those responsible have reached a fever pitch.

Goregaon resident Vinayak Prabhu, who has been a regular walker in Aarey for the last 10 years, claimed the area suffered from neglect, as everyone simply passed the buck when it came to protecting the green cover. "I was walking close to the VIP guest house area on Monday morning and found a tree on fire. The nearby areas, too, had been cleared. I wonder how can there be so many fires close to the VIP guest house, when it has so much of staff and security. This needs to be investigated," he said.

The Aarey dairy officials, meanwhile, said they were concerned about the issue and have asked their patrolling staff to be more vigilant. The authorities were even contemplating setting up CCTV cameras at certain crucial locations, they said. "I have been tracking these fires for the last five years now. Every summer, the number of fires is more than the previous year. Aarey has been suffering and losing its biodiversity," said Manish Gadia, who has been actively working with the Save Aarey Community. Gadia added, "Most times, miscreants visiting Aarey set dried leaves to fire for fun. There are others who

While security has been stationed by the Aarey dairy department, they should be asked to patrol two areas the VIP guesthouse and the New Zealand hostel area which are worst affected.

Meanwhile, what worries several experts and naturalists is that apart from the loss of green cover, there is a huge damage to the micro and macro fauna, as Aarey Colony is not only home to several animals such as leopards but also to various reptiles, spiders and other wildlife. Chief executive officer (CEO) of the Aarey Dairy Development Board, Gajanan Raut, said they were extremely concerned about these fires, which were definitely the handiwork of miscreants. " we called the fire engines and got the fire at a few places doused. We have even asked our security to patrol regularly and take stringent action against those responsible. Apart from all this, we are also thinking of setting up CCTV cameras, he said.”

Sachin Tendulkar Launched Two Security Initiatives by Mumbai Railway Police, and Asked the Daily Commuters to Abide by all the Rules to be Safe and Secure Sachin Tendulkar launched two initiatives by Mumbai Railway Police SAMEEP (Safety Alert Messages Exclusively For Passengers) and B-Safe. (Sachin Tendulkar's New Year Message to Kids: Shun Twenty20 Cricket). "The numbers, what I saw, was 700 people last year died because they fell out of the train, which is really unfortunate, and 1,600 people lost their lives while crossing tracks. I feel in today's world every minute matters, there is competition everywhere," the 42-year-old cricketing great said here at the launch. (Sachin Tendulkar Pays Tribute to Martyrs of Pathankot Terror Attack). "I feel a lot of time (the thinking is), if we cross railway tracks, then we will reach quicker, there will be benefit of five minutes instead of crossing the bridge while going to the other platform. These are small things - one, you are breaking the law, and you are risking life for five minutes. (Sachin Tendulkar Gifts His Bat to Record-Breaker Pranav Dhanawade).

Then we decided to watch a movie. After watching the movie, we got late for practice and hence we decided to cross railway tracks and go to the platform and board the train at Dadar.

"Your family and friends are waiting for you back home and if you reach there five minutes later it really does not matter. It is important to be there, safe and sound, rather than be in hospital," he said.

"While crossing the tracks, halfway, we realised that trains were coming fast on all the tracks. We ended up crouching on our knees in between the tracks with our kits. That was a scary experience and then onwards we never crossed train tracks," he said.

"I will request, do not sit on the train roof and travel if the train is crowded. Everyone is hard pressed for time, but still (I ask you), leave that train, be patient and do not break rules, he said.” Tendulkar also recalled how, as a schoolboy, he and his friends once had a scary experience trying to cross the tracks.

Talking about the two safety initiatives, Mumbai Railway Police said, "SAMEEP is an effort towards instant communication with railway passengers in case of any eventuality.

"Right from the age of 11, I travelled by trains in Mumbai. When I travelled I had a kit-bag. I have also experienced jostling, being pushed in and out of trains, these experiences will stay with me," he added.

"Under this scheme, we invite commuters to give Missed Call on 7208015207 or SMS MH RLY COP to 166 to get registered. Those who get registered will be sent an SMS when required about important developments/disruptions, safety advisories, women security updates, correct information to dispel any rumours," an official release said.

LPG/CNG Leakage Detection & Auto On Off System

Today we find that LPG is being used in almost all sectors, domestic and industrial. It has proved itself to be one of the most cost-effective, less hazardous, environment-friendly fuels. Still due to some of its properties, LPG uses have been marred by accidents, which cannot be termed as sporadic incidents. LPG has to be used in accordance with certain safety measures. Incorrect use of LPG can result in explosions, fires, lost of property and most importantly, loss of lives. Do not neglect issues like leaking gas cylinders or tubes, damaged regulators, incorrect method of storage of LPG cylinders, etc. Ambetronics Leak Detection System This system helps you to upgrade your safety standards, comply statutory requirements on environmental commitments and most important and basic function being prevent accidents and protect life and property from disaster. The primary objects of the sytem to provide a novel means for safely detecting any malfunction of a pressurized gas system in order to prevent accumulation of combustible gases so that damage or explosion due to such an accumulation of gases is prevented. Another object of the present

invention is to provide a novel safety means for detecting the leakage of gas into the area of an appliance when the appliance is in a shutdown condition and not in operation. Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a novel gas detection and monitoring system which is economical to manufacture and which may be readily installed in conventional trailers, boats or the like which are normally dependent upon a stored supply of pressurized gas. Typical installation areas being gas yards (Bullets), gas banks with multi cylinders in manifold, user production departments / utility areas like kitchens. Ideal sensor for use to detect the presence of a dangerous LPG leak in your service station, storage tank environment. This unit can be easily incorporated into an alarm unit, to sound an alarm or give a visual indication of the LPG concentration. The sensor has excellent sensitivity combined with a quick response time. The sensor can also sense iso-butane, propane, LNG and cigarette smoke. • The Ambetronics Gas Detectors (GT-4000, GT-2500 and IR-5000) ranges can be used on a stand alone basis or integrated into Plant management control systems. • The Sensor Transmitter Integrated Monitor (GM-1100, GM-2200, TC800 and RK-220) ranges can be provided continuous monitoring and universal outputs 4-20mA, RS485 and relays for auto On/Off through Solenoid Valve. Our systems locate fixed sensors in the area to be monitored with a hard wire connection back to the central controller, DCS, SCADA or BMS so that you have a continuous signal from the area.
