Success through community

SAFE volunteers are essential to achieving victories for animals. From petitions and live protests to letter writing and online actions, volunteers drive SAFE’s key actions and make a real difference every day for the millions of animals suffering across Aotearoa.

We were especially proud of the large crowd of caring people who travelled a long way to join us in calling for an end to greyhound racing in Aotearoa, attending the Silver Collar protest in Auckland in June of 2021. The race was described by the Auckland Greyhound Racing Club as a ‘gruelling’ and ‘stamina-sapping affair,’ raced over an ‘extreme’ 779 meters, which is twice as long as a typical race.

It is because of supporters like you that we are able to go from strength to strength. Every action, big or small, is helping to drive a better future for animals in New Zealand.

We extend our humblest gratitude for all you do.
