SOCIAL SPOTLIGHT Michigan Quarter Horse Association Crowns New Queen - Katie Hartman!

“Horses have been a huge part of my life for the past 12+ years. I got my start in 4-H and local open shows, and about six years ago, I found my heart and home in the Quarter Horse world.

Coming from a non-horse family, the road hasn’t always been easy—but it’s made me stronger and more grateful for every step of the journey. If you’re someone dreaming of getting into horses/AQHA but not sure where to start, please know: you belong here too.

Since I was a little girl, I looked up to the MQHA Queens—their grace, kindness, and dedication truly inspired me. To now be in this role feels like a dream come true, and I’m so thankful for the chance to give back to a community that’s given me so much.

To the MQHA Queen Committee, Board of Directors, our amazing sponsors, Tiffany’s Show Horses group, and members—thank you for believing in me. I’ll wear this crown with pride, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.

And to Audrey Barnes, thank you for setting such a beautiful example and for making this moment extra special.”
