Welcome to the Fall 2020 edition of Serrano magazine! We hope you are doing well during these times, and you are looking forward to sweater weather and the upcoming holidays. We know you are probably tired of being cooped up, so this issue is sure to entice you to get out and explore our beautiful region this fall. While access to many events and areas is still limited, this is a great time to take a drive up to Apple Hill. Many of the farms are open with bountiful treats—and social distancing protocols in place. Check out Jolaine Collins’ story on page 26. Finally, as we prepared this issue, we discovered several heroes in our communities who have stepped up to help others. Some made hand sanitizer and protective masks for health care workers, while others created a curbside food program to assist local nonprofits. These businesses have reinvented themselves to provide help when it’s most needed. We hope you enjoy this issue. Stay safe, and we’ll see you in 2021!
