85 Beban puncak (MW) Januari 2007 = 252,59, Nopember 2007 = 269,13 Melihat kondisi listrik saat ini dimana daya mampu = 260,95 MW, sedangkan beban puncak = 252,59 – 269,13 MW maka kondisi kelistrikan PLN Kalselteng dapat dikatakan kritis, sehingga terjadi p e m a d a m a n b e r g i l i r. A s u m s i pertumbuhan keperluan listrik 6% - 8,1% (Untuk tahun 2005 – 2015) maka beban puncak pada 2010 = 458,06 MW. Rencana pembangunan PLTU Asam-asam 324 dengan daya sebesar 2 x 65 MW pada tahun 2010 tanpa ada tambahan pembangunan pembangkit baru akan terjadi kritis listrik yang cukup besar sampai dengan tahun 2010.

Maximum load (MW) in January 2007 = 252.59, November 2006 = 269.13. The existing capacity = 260.95, while top load varies between 252.59 – 269.13 MW. Based on these figures, the condition of electricity supply in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan is now critical, and as a result, there is a consecutive light off. Assuming that the growth of electricity demand is 6 – 8.1 % per year in 2005 – 2015, then the maximum load in 2010 will be 458.08 MW. Development plan for Asam-asam 324 Steam Power Plant with capacity of 2 x 65 MW in 2010, without additional plan to build another plant, only means a big crisis of electicity in 2010.

18. New Energy and Renewable Energy The potentials of renewable energy in South Kalimantan (based on the results of a survey conducted by South Kalimantan Mining and Energy Srvices) are as follows:

Energi Surya = radiasi harian matahari rata-rata 8-9 KWh/m2/hari
