The temporary Birdge Pop-Up Gallery was created to provide life to one of the most busisiest sites on the UC Berkeley campus. It serves as both a gallery and a standalone work of art. The potential of an art gallery is questioned by this design. It is not limited to open space or walls that are flat. As a quirky interactive exhibit, Birdge attracts visitors and offers a respite from the pressures of college life by evoking a moment of childlike wonder and play

The gallery was created by taking styrofoam cup combining the verbs “to cut” and “to interlock” Intended to embrace the cup and emphasize its adabtability beyond the sole purpose of drinking out of.

From this sculpture, it was scaled down to human proportions and made of corten steel. The Pop-Up Gallery offers a fresh perspective on what a gallery in the modern era can be
