2024 Impact Report

Page 1

Dear friends, colleagues, and partners,

Every year, I am excited to share the impact that Saban Community Clinic has had with our supporters. While it’s easy to get caught up in the magnitude of numbers, for me the most important measure of our work is the individual lives we touch.

The day-to-day care we provide our patients makes an incredible difference for individuals, for families, and within our communities. Care is more than a service, it has a ripple effect. Every clinic visit, filled prescription, therapy session, or dental appointment makes a difference by inspiring that patient to play an active role in their own health. The everyday activities at Saban are truly empowering.

In 2024, we were focused on day-to-day details — making sure all of the building blocks are in place to ensure lasting success. From the moments our providers spent talking to patients to better personalize their care, to our detailed plans for expansion, to the partnerships we nurtured, to all of the training we provided our staff, every action has been intentional. Because every effort we make to strengthen the care we provide helps us better serve our community and impact more lives.

The strong foundation that we have built is the cornerstone for our plans for continued growth. Together, we are taking the steps to transform healthcare in Los Angeles. Each patient we serve brings us closer to that goal, but more importantly, it provides that individual the support they need to live their best life. And that is why we do this work with enthusiasm, passion, and true appreciation for our fellow human beings.

With gratitude,

SABAN

Personalized care. Empowering health.

Marilyn and Abraham

“ Marilyn was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism.

Watching her thrive in her therapy has been healing. Her connection with Dr. Waldman is so special, and I am beyond grateful for the care they give her. Together, they’re helping her discover her potential, and we are so thankful.” ABRAHAM

“ I adore the care I’m provided at Saban. I feel I’m making significant progress with the behavioral health care I’m receiving and my ongoing therapy. Thank you to all those involved in my journey.”

We provided 3,000 more psychiatry visits and group sessions than the year prior.

“ The Saban Community Clinic is probably the best clinic anywhere. The staff and doctors go out of their way to help you and make it as easy as possible with the best medical care. Very thorough and great all the way around.”

SCC received several federal Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges in 2024 for achievements in access, quality, health equity, and health information technology.

“ My son had a super positive experience at his very first dental visit. He came home and brushes his teeth several times a day now. He also loves to pretend play as a dentist with his baby sister. It's adorable. Thank you for being such an amazing provider!” We supported more than 16,000 dental visits in 2024.

“ It is so easy and comfortable to communicate openly and honestly with Dr. Vuong and her support staff. I know they are paying attention to what I say, and I always feel informed. The acupuncture treatments have made a world of difference in relieving my constant and chronic neck pain.” We provided 4,230 patient visits in our alternative pain management clinic.

“ I had my entire pregnancy experience with Saban. Dr. Portillo is the best. Everyone in the clinic is so supportive and warm-hearted. I am so grateful for the services they gave me.”

Our Centering Pregnancy Program has resulted in a 51% decrease in low birth weights and a 76% breastfeeding success rate.
