“I like to catch everyday moments and transform them into something interesting,” says Sanja Milenkovic. A Serbian artist now splitting her time between Paris and Milan, Sanja explores the human condition in her paintings, focusing on the role of the individual in the urban environment. She juxtaposes quotidien metropolitan scenes of traffic, pedestrians, and crowds with natural elements like parks and shrubbery, capturing fleeting moments with vivid color and movement.

Sanja has an MFA in Visual Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, Brera in Milan. She has had many exhibitions in Italy, Serbia, France, and the UK, and in 2016 she had her debut solo show in Paris at Galerie Djeziri-Bonn. Saatchi Art named Sanja a One to Watch artist in 2016.

Armed with a pared-down color palette and masterful technical skill, János Huszti paints blurry faces and figures inspired by old photographs from the 1950s. In a style reminiscent of photorealism, he paints portraits from the past, but instills in each painting a contemporary edge, often achieved by including colorful lettering or spray paint. Just as a memory can become hazy with recollection, so too do Huszti’s paintings metaphorically blur at the edges.

Since completing his BFA at the University of Pécs in Hungary in 2005, János has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe. His works have sold to collectors all over the world, including the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, and UAE.

She has a BFA from Hunter College, New York, and has won many awards for her work, and several prestigious residencies. LIVIU MIHAI Liviu examines the human form through social, political, or psychological lenses in his gestural figurative paintings. He has a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Fine Arts, Bucharest. He has exhibited in the UK, Romania, Austria, and the Netherlands.
TAY L O R W H I T E After being in the US marines Taylor enrolled at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he received a BFA in 2016 and won the Emil R. Schnellock Award for Excellence in Painting. He has exhibited his works in many shows in the US and describes them as depictions of “crisis and triumph, lust and low-altitude bombing.” 57. S T E FA N D O R U M O S C U Stefan’s surreal paintings are art-historically savvy explorations of social, political, and cultural issues. He has a BA from the State University of Sibiu, Romania, and has exhibited his works in the US, Romania, Germany, Belgium, and Poland. Thomas Gromas’ bold relief sculptures depict what he calls a “fake reality”. The works center on text and phrases that explore desire in contemporary culture such as “more,” “once upon a time,” and “happily every after”. Inspired by the effects of the inundation of media, advertisements, and politics in society, Thomas aims to capture a perpetual feeling of longing, monumentalizing it with bright color, large scale, and repetition. “There’s always something we’re wishing for. We’re always looking for more. The repetition of words, text, and fairy tale quotes reflect how we try so hard to live the life we dream of without really knowing where we go,” he says.
