EASTER

When you think of Easter, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it the biblical story about the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ? Or do you recall the family gatherings around that time or the egg hunts and Easter Bonnets that you took part in as a child? Let us get into what the true essence of Easter is. Easter’s religious component is essential to its significance to Christians around the globe. Easter marks the conclusion of the Passion of Jesus Christ, which includes, among other things, his crucifixion (Good Friday), his entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper (Maundy Thursday), and, most significantly, his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Believing in the resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to Easter’s religious importance Christian doctrine holds that on the third day after his crucifixion and burial, Jesus resurrected from the grave, vanquishing both sin and death. This incident, which represents the promise of eternal life and the triumph over sin, is regarded as the foundation of the Christian religion.

Easter Vigil and Sunrise Services: On Holy Saturday evening, many Christian denominations host special services to mark the expectation of Jesus’ resurrection. The Easter Vigil is a midnight ceremony. Easter Sunday sunrise services are very popular; they represent the start of a new era marked by the resurrection of Christ.

Liturgical Observances: During the Easter season, churches frequently hold unique liturgical observances. These could be the lighting of the Paschal candle, the reciting of the Exulted, an old hymn that heralds the resurrection, and the renewal of baptismal vows

Season of Easter: Easter is not just a single day but a season in the Christian liturgical calendar. The Easter season lasts for 50 days, from Easter Sunday to Pentecost, commemorating the time between Jesus’; resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles.

SHOUTERBAPTISTDAY

In some ways, we all know what it means to fight for what should be our rights. Like women that fought for the rights to vote or like the American Activists, Rosa Parks that refused to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama bus in 1955. Her act of bravery was done when racism against African Americans was at an all-time high She could have been killed for such an action. Right here in Trinidad and Tobago, people have and are still fighting for certain rights.

GOINGBEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY

On March 3rd, 2024, our Officers displayed what it truly means to go beyond “the call of duty”. An Officer observed some bushes on the outer fencing of our Client’s business place to be on fire. She then alerted other Officers. With quick thinking, they quickly put the fire out using a watering hose. The Client was overwhelmed with gratitude and as such, presented tokens of appreciation to the Officers who assisted in extinguishing the fire.
