Hello and welcome to the latest edition of engaged! In this issue we look at the advantages of remaining active in both body and mind. After all, our frames, despite any age-related failings, are designed to move and the brain is designed to think and create. There are many advantages to your general health and wellbeing that come from staying on the front foot both in terms of physical and mental exercises.

One other important thing is the enjoyment you can have. Ryman’s Triple A programmes are designed to bring a smile. It’s always a pleasure to walk through our villages and see the positivity oozing in one of our regular exercise sessions. Even while we are currently at a distance, we will continue to run Triple A via zoom. Of course, everyone deserves a sleep-in or a day of real relaxation on occasion. But on other days set yourself a challenge. Even if you set small goals, the longer-term gains will be incredible. Have fun!

Whether those tasks are puzzles, a sudoku each day, or some art and craft work, you will feel better for it. From even moderate exercise you will have stronger muscles and bones, and better posture and balance and generally more energy.
