Welcome to our annual bull sale!

Dear Cattlemen,

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to our annual Friesz Livestock Hereford Bull Sale Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Kist Livestock Auction, Mandan, ND. Our bulls will sell following Lodoen’s L83 Ranch production sale which starts at 1:00 pm CT. We run 50 head of predominatly Polled Hereford females. We like cattle that are easy fleshing, good disposition and great udder quality. Our cows run on native grass in season and during the winter months are fed good quality hay, lick tubs and are on a Vita ferm mineral program.

Our calves are not on creep until a few weeks prior to weaning.

We implement the use of artificial insemination and embryo transfer to bring in some of the breeds top genetics.

The bulls being offered have been bucket fed CHS bull challenger and free choice hay. We try to grow these bulls out so they maintain soundness and longevity. The bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale and the bulls are available for viewing at the farm prior to sale date. You are welcome to come and view the dams of these bulls and the sires.

Term & Conditions

Any bidding disputes will be settled by the auctioneer. Announcements made from the sale block on sale day take precedence over the catalog. Registration papers will be transferred to the new owner upon request.

Guarantee

All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale, but it is highly recommended that you test the bulls before turning them out for the breeding season. If a bull tests as a non-breeder, the seller has 180 days to make an adjustment. If the bull is returned to the seller and declared a sound breeder by a competent veterinarian, he will be returned to the buyer at the buyers’ expense. In case the bull is declared a non-breeder, the bull will be replaced with one of similar quality if possible or the purchase price will be refunded if the bull was returned in the same body condition as on sale day. This breeding guarantee is valid threw Oct. 15, 2016.

Delivery & Feeding

Any bull taken home by his new owner on sale day will receive a $100 credit off the purchase price. Transportation will be provided by the seller. All bulls must be picked up or will be delivered from the Friesz’s by April 15th, but will be fed for free until then if necessary.

Herd Health

Bulls have been poured with Dectomax and are an annual vaccination program. Vet care is provided by Dr. Kirk Johnson, Johnson Vet Clinic, Mandan, ND 701-663-7500 and Dr. Travis Kuhlka, TK Livestock Services, Glen Ullin, ND. 701-400-2953.

Insurance

We do recommend buying insurance for any bull not taken home by the buyer sale day. Insurance will be available to purchase on sale day.

Suppliment Sheet & Sale Order

On sale day, you will be provided with a sale order and supplement sheet that will include scrotal measurements and current weight. Feel free to call any of us with any questions prior to sale day, or better yet, stop in at the ranch and see the cattle first hand.
