Welcome! First of all, we would like to generously thank everybody who has helped us get through yet another challenging year. The support that our family is granted, is highly appreciated and we are grateful every single day. We made some big strides yet again this year. In August, we gained another member of the family when Tony and Rylee exchanged their vows in a very beautiful wedding ceremony. We could not be more excited for them in their many years of happiness that await. On February 22, Molly and Chandler blessed us with our first grandson/nephew, Creed Christopher. We can’t wait to watch him grow and become part of our operation. He will be helping with ranch duties in no time! Ben accomplished a stepping stone in his life when he purchased a property that is conjoined directly to the ranch. Wyatt has joined the operation full time and is a great hand and got to run the air seeder for the fist time, now hes stuck with the job. We expanded our farming operation by almost double so that meant many more responsibilities, spending more time in equipment and a little more stress but we love this way of life and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Working with family can be challenging but it’s very humbling to see everybody work together to get the job done. We, at L83, are always more than excited to offer tours of our entire herd to anybody who may enquirer to do so. We feel confident in doing so because we are proud of our program and enjoy taking the time to evaluate them with our prior, current, and future customers. Every animal on the ranch is our pride and joy. In return for taking time out of your busy lives, we will have a collective drawing on sale day that will be composed of those who came up to the ranch and toured the sale bulls. Prior to the start of the sale, we will draw (3) separate $500 sale day credits. The bulls have been developed on a high roughage diet to ensure longevity, soundness, and satisfaction from the customer. We have been fortunate to work closely with Nutritionist, Aaron Galbreath with Hubbard Feeds. We are excited to see our familiar faces and hopefully some new ones come March 23rd. The Lodoen’s

Term & Conditions
Any bidding disputes will be settled by the auctioneer. Announcements made from the sale block on sale day take precedence over the catalog. EPDs were pulled 2/23/2021,
Guarantee
All bulls sold for $3,000 or more will be guaranteed sound breeder. All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale, but it is highly recommended that you test the bulls before turning them out for the breeding season. If a bull tests as a non-breeder, the seller has 180 days to make an adjustment. If the bull is returned to the seller and declared a sound breeder by a competent veterinarian, he will be returned to the buyer at the buyers’ expense. In case the bull is declared a non-breeder, the bull will be replaced with one of similar quality if possible or the purchase price will be refunded if the bull was returned in the same body condition as on sale day. This breeding guarantee is valid through Oct. 15, 2021.
Supplement Sheet & Sale Order
On sale day, you will be provided with a sale order and supplement sheet that will include scrotal measurements, current weight, and ultrasound data. Feel free to call any of us with any questions prior to sale day, or better yet, stop in at the ranch and see the cattle first hand and get your name put in the drawing that will be held on sale day!
Bulk Buy Benefits
Our Bulk Buy program is applied to those who have met these certain requirements: - The price of each bull purchased by an individual must meet or exceed $3,500 per bull. Any bull sold for less than $3,500 will not qualify for discounts. - All purchases must be purchased by the same individual or ranch, but partnership purchases across 2 or more ranches will not be allowed. - L83 Ranch reserves the right to refuse any discounts to believed wrongful doings or bending of these rules. - 3 Bulls - 3% Discount - 4 Bulls – 4% Discount - 5 Bulls – 5% Discount - 6 Bulls – 6% Discount - 7 Bull Plus – 7.5% Discount
Delivery & Feeding
Any bull taken home by his new owner will receive $150 CASH!! Free bull delivery for customers with an accumulated purchase price of $5,000 or more on sale day. All other bulls must be picked up at the ranch or trucking fees will apply. Bulls will be fed at L83 at no cost until May 1st. A $10/day feeding charge will take into affect after this date. Bulls still at L83 after May 1, must be picked up at the ranch, due to the overwhelming spring workload that our farming business requires.
Insurance
As soon as an animal is purchased, it becomes the responsibility of the buyer. We do recommend buying insurance for any bull not taken home by the buyer sale day as we will not be responsible for sickness or injury after sale day. Joana Friesz with Northland Insurance Agency will be present sale day.

This Raptor son has been on the top of our list all of his life. Hype 2H has always had the presence of masculinity and early maturity that we like to see in our herd bull prospects. This guy hits the ground with a large and sound foot. Out of the great 511C cow that we purchased from Rohrichs Cutting Edge Ranch, this bull will be the sure bet when adding pounds and functionality to your herd. The Evander cattle have continued to impress us. This years offering starts with L83 Hotmess 3H. He comes to us out of a first calf heifer who did very excellent all summer. Last year, the Evander sons were the highest averaging sire group. Great skull shape, sound feet and legs, and a moderate powerful package. This bull would be recommended for larger heifers and cows.

Possibly the most powerful Red Zone son that we have ever raised. Ever since birth, this bull has been efficient. Very stretchy in his skeleton with the power to make pounds easy to accumulate. We think highly of this calf and recommend that he be used to breed cows that you may want to moderate a smidge, but without losing any performance at weaning time. Red Angus Guide to EPDS and Indexes ProS ... Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).
HB ..... HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning.
