Greetings Friends!

Welcome to our 43rd Annual Production Sale! In this years offering we have a very deep set of bulls to fit any need that a cattleman may have. Honest cattle from honest people is what we are firm believers of. This selection of bulls and commercial females is exactly that.

Our cattle herd thrives on a strong maternal base.

Combining genetics from across the US and Canada, we are driven to forming the herd we need to prosper in our climate as efficiently as possible. Our bulls are fed a high roughage diet at a mild pace to ensure proper development and structural balance during growth. We are on a steady VitaFerm mineral program year-round with our entire cattle herd. Along with an intensive mineral program, we use a steady vaccination program consisting of Enforce-3, CattleActive and 7-Way with Somnus at birth, branding and weaning. These bulls were recently poured with Clean-Up II on February 21. All of the bulls in this years offering are 100% - Category 1.

Any bidding disputes will be settled by the auctioneer.

Announcements made from the sale block on sale day take precedence over the catalog.

Guarantee

All bulls sold for $3,000 or more will be guaranteed sound breeder. All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale, but it is highly recommended that you test the bulls before turning them out for the breeding season. If a bull tests as a non-breeder, the seller has 180 days to make an adjustment. If the bull is returned to the seller and declared a sound breeder by a competent veterinarian, he will be returned to the buyer at the buyers’ expense. In case the bull is declared a non-breeder, the bull will be replaced with one of similar quality if possible or the purchase price will be refunded if the bull was returned in the same body condition as on sale day. This breeding guarantee is valid threw Oct. 15, 2019.

Delivery & Feeding

Any bull taken home by his new owner will receive $150 CASH!! Free bull delivery for customers with an accumulated purchase price of $5,000 or more on sale day. All other bulls must be picked up at the ranch or trucking fees will apply.

Bulls can be returned to L83 and fed at no cost until May 15th.

A $10/day feeding charge will take into affect after this date, due to the shortage of feed after last summers dry climate.

Herd Health

Vet care is provided by Dr. Kelly Schaefer & Minot Vet Clinic.

Insurance

As soon as an animal is purchased, it becomes the responsibility of the buyer. We do recommend buying insurance for any bull not taken home by the buyer sale day as we will not be responsible for sickness or injury after sale day. Joana Friesz with Northland Insurance Agency will be present sale day.

Supplement Sheet & Sale Order

On sale day, you will be provided with a sale order and supplement sheet that will include scrotal measurements, current weight. Feel free to call any of us with any questions prior to sale day, or better yet, stop in at the ranch and see the cattle first hand and get your name put in the drawing that will be held on sale day!

• The rule of thumb is that your herd bull should breed progeny better than themselves within the first three years of production. PTO did just this in his FIRST year of production. 2Strong stood behind PTO at the FWSS to be crowed National Reserve Champion Red Angus Bull! This is quite the feat to accomplish when a Sire and his progeny win Grand and Reserve at the time setting foot into the ring.

• 2Strong is a splitting image of his sire, but at this day of age, holds more width down his top, and is smoother through his shoulder blade and into his high and extended neck. Dark in color, solid at the ground, smooth on the move, and backed by a cow that has done great things for us in our herd since she was a first calf heifer.

• Farmer is a bull with unique herdsire appeal. He was born at 68 lbs to a very sound, stout,beautifully uddered Sakic daughter that we purchased from Six Mile. You will appreciate the muscle mass when you get behind this bull and his moderate frame is the type to use on some flatter made heifers to add shape to your steer calves. His dam, 213Y, is a fault free cow and has demanded no attention when producing a great calf each year.

• We have some power in the pedigree with this one. We, unfortunately, lost our herdsire High Tide at a young age and only had a very limited amount of semen collected on him before his passing. • Full Brothers. These three bulls were the team that made up our pen of Three Bulls at the NWSS. Out of one of our young herdsires, T-K Redeam 10C, and our very proven Donor T-K Miniva 10T. These bulls are going to add growth, shape, and length to their progeny.

• Lot 11 was Reserve Intermediate Bull Calf Champion at the 2018 Canadian Western Agribition.

• After a long and productive life at L83 Ranch, T-K Miniva 10T is now deceased and we hate not having her around raising another great calf. • We purchased the Justice herdsire from Six Mile to use on heifers for problem free calving. We definitely hit a home run on calving ease with him! Use this bull with true confidence of easy, smooth births on your smaller first timers and also, notice the attractive muscle shape this calf brought to town. With a BW of 66 lbs and a 205 day of 758, I’m not sure how you could go wrong in a commercial operation on steer calves or keeping females as this guys dam is the easy doing kind with a nice udder to boot.

• This bull is so stylish for such a young bull and goes back to foundation Red Angus genetics with Trend Setter as his grandsire. I would expect this bull to produce size and frame. • We purchased embryos out of the Red Brylor Jessie 33W cow from McKay Cattle Company of Orlando, Oklahoma and the bulls we got are some breeding pieces that can be used in many scenarios. These guys have great feet, stretch structured, sound in their type and kind, great hair coated and stout. The matching of Firestorm and Cardshark with this very attractive SSS OLY cow sure worked out great! These bulls were born in Oklahoma and after the hot summers and fall, these guys got a slower start, compared to the other bulls in our offering, but do not let this shy you away. Although young, these bulls are going to work great out on pasture and are showing very appealing testicular development to ensure quick and efficient breeding.
