The Cubist Vessel; Towards a Meaningful Parametric Architecture is a work meant to broaden the depth of dialogue within a specific discourse in the field of architecture. As technology becomes increasingly prevalent in design, we must not only understand the “What” but the “How, When and Why”. With this simple project I aim to stimulate the conversation as to addressing the “Why” in parametric architecture, by utilizing digital design to reflect and reanimate basic principles of Cubism. The end result is a Vessel that becomes more than just an exercise with a design tool, but a conscious effort to bring meaning and history to an object made with a computer.
