“Very COMPELLING CONNECTION and CONSISTENCY between interior and exterior design.”
“Exterior form is INTERESTING AND UNIQUE , and the massing shifts break down the scale of a large building to be very COMFORTABLE at the pedestrian level.”

GRAND LIVING AT WELLEN PARK BUILT | FLORIDA
Wellen Park is a vibrant community in Southwest Florida, blending nature with modern living. Grand Living at Wellen Park nestles directly into this developing neighborhood, and the ‘E’-shaped building allows for two large courtyards and includes a variety of activities for the residents, from putting greens to fire pits. Lush landscaping and pergolas assist in creating shaded areas that allow the residents to enjoy the outdoor amenities even in the bright Florida sun. The exterior incorporates light-colored stone and stucco materials, which help to mitigate solar heat gain. The landscaping of the exterior continues to the interior with floral lighting and verdant materials.

CANCER CENTER PURSUIT
UNBUILT | FLORIDA
This multi-phase campus development, started with a Phase I pursuit that focused on a 120,000-SF Medical Office Building with 70,000-SF dedicated to a Cancer Center, 30,000 SF for speculative research laboratories, with 20,000-SF for an Early Learning Center and amenity retail on the ground floor. The exterior building design celebrates the complexity of DNA and genome sequencing, abstracting it to reflect the nature of the client’s machine-based learning research modalities and serving as an inspiration to the campus population to translate ideas across disciplines.
“ INTERESTING and THOUGHTFUL diagrams.”
“LOVE THE TIE TO THE DNA SEQUENCE with the exterior façade pattern.”
“Interesting to see the ITERATION and OPTIONALITY of an alternate façade system.”

ELMHURST HOSPITAL ADDITION + RENOVATION ON THE BOARDS | ILLINOIS

The imagery included in our pursuit reflects the maximum build scenario, however we subsequently offered options for the project that include parking within the building or in a dedicated separate structure, and a spectrum of size options as small as 120,000-SF.

KEMIN CENTRAL WAREHOUSE ON THE BOARDS | IOWA

UST HOCKEY & BASKETBALL ARENA ON THE BOARDS | MINNESOTA

BIRMINGHAM MULTIFAMILY ON THE BOARDS | MICHIGAN
For this new apartment complex, the design team participated in a design charrette to explore concept options for this prominent site. The prescriptive nature of the local zoning ordinance drove the building massing, and the top of the massing was majorly impacted by the 45-degree setback requirement. As a result, the design team incorporated a crown-like expression atop of the building massing to draw contrast with thoughtful material selection.
