Meez, a new finish-at-home meal kit service, was founded during Auckland’s most recent lockdown but already has big plans for 2022 and beyond.
Meez partners with leading New Zealand restaurants and chefs and provides them with an online platform to market and sell meal kits (and other food and beverage products) to customers nationwide. Restaurants prepare the food in house, while Meez takes care of the rest. The multi-course meal kits, which are shipped throughout the week, come packaged with an easy set of instructions, and arrive ready for customers to finish, assemble and serve at home.
“Our mission is to give everyone in New Zealand the opportunity to experience food from New Zealand’s best restaurants and chefs, in the comfort of their own home. At the same time, we can provide restaurants with a viable and scalable alternative revenue stream by opening their addressable market to be every consumer in the country. We work closely with our partner restaurants to curate finish-athome meal kits that are reflective of their unique food styles and crowd favourites.”
Although Meez was initially founded during New Zealand’s lockdown as a way to allow restaurants to connect with the New Zealand market at large, it has proven to be an innovative and exciting ‘athome restaurant experience’ for its customers, and a flavourful and meaningful departure from generic, and often unhealthy takeaways.
