Cromer Marrams Bowls Club News from the Club House

The short mat bowls at Cromer Marrams BC is getting to the exciting end of season Gay B has finally been caught by the men, so Bob A (64) leads Keith P (61), with Gay third (56) In the first round of the cup competition there have been victories for Jean N, John H, Bob A, David R, Neil P and Edna B

The green has continued to be tended with deep spiking and a Spring feed Members will be tending around the green on Saturday 11th March at 10am and painting the clubhouse exterior later in the month. We intend opening the green on Friday 7th April at 10am Put the date in your diary!

All the fixtures have been arranged for the men’s NBA, mixed Federation leagues, mixed NANSA league and mixed friendlies, over 90 in total So, there will be a game for you, at a time to suit and at a level of competitiveness to suit

We are getting enquiries from bowlers wishing to join us for the new season when there will be club matches afternoons, evenings and weekends Seven days a week you can also play a social ‘roll up’ All this for only £65 subscription, £2 70 a week Where else can you get such a healthy leisure pursuit so cheaply?!

Come and meet us at the short mat bowls with lots of fun, drink and biscuits for only £1 50, at the clubhouse (on the Runton Road next to the Blue Sky Café) every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm through to April. No previous experience or equipment required

If you are not sure you wish to be involved as a club member, then the green will be available again from 7th April 2023 for the public to play, as and when open Contact the number below and turn up with smooth soled, flat shoes, borrow a set of bowls and play for 1 hour (£2 50 per person) or 2 hours (£4 per person). We are already looking forward to welcoming you next season
