Swim Lessons
The objective of the “Learn to Swim” courses are to teach children, teens, and adults to be safe in, on, and around the water and to swim well. Aquatic and personal water safety skills are taught in a logical progression through six levels. PRCF teaches swim lessons for preschoolers (ages 3-4 years) and those that are ages 5 years and over for levels 1 and 2. Participants are encouraged to sign up for the appropriate level based on their level of swimming ability. There may be a time where a participant is switched to a different class depending on their ability.
Registration for all “Learn to Swim” classes will take place online. Unfortunately, the Aquatics Division is unable to hold spaces due to previous enrollment, age, group, or level of the child. Each class is on a first come, first served basis until all classes and levels are full. Please note that class availability are subject to change. Classes are also subject to be cancelled as a result of inclement weather. We will work to schedule make up classes, however there may be times that classes will not be made up.

In this class, we’ll practice the peaceful and joyful art of knitting! In the early classes, we’ll practice a few simple stitches--casting on, knitting, and purling-then use those stitches as building blocks towards increasingly complex projects. We’ll start with a knitted face cloth, then work on hats, fingerless gloves, and basic socks. The capstone project of the class will be a pair of toe-up socks that are knitted two-ata-time! In the process, we’ll learn some basic lace and color work techniques.
