With advanced STRATYS 3 technology this product infuses quickly and deeply into the skin layers, giving an ultimate softness and luxurious feel. Explore visual springboards of colour and physical structure which create a metaphor for the deep ‘infusing’ nature of the product. This extends into the sub brand logo and premium pack design.

CLIENT - Presidents Choice CANADA BRAND - Presidents Choice Own Label BRIEF - To create a personal care range under the President’s Choice brand, initially in skin care and hair care, with color cosmetics to follow. Under the general umbrella of ‘Natural’ explore a spectrum of ‘Big Idea’ brand design concepts.

The Torrance Test of Creative Thinking is often cited as an example of how children’s divergent thinking diminishes over time. 98% of children in kindergarten are “creative geniuses” – they can think of endless opportunities of how to use a paper clip.

This ability is reduced drastically as children go through the formal schooling system and by age 25, only 3% remain creative geniuses.

Most of us only come up with one or a handful of uses for a paperclip.

Making connections is an essential life skill for children Making connections and seeing patterns is an important part of being creative. Creative learning helps children learn to make innovative connections which impact brain development.

When kids are encouraged to express themselves and take risks in creating art, they develop a sense of innovation that will be important in their adult lives and studies show that there is a correlation between art and other achievement. Children who participate regularly in the arts are four times more likely

to be recognized for academic achievement.

Learning to create and appreciate visual aesthetics may be more important than ever to the development of the next generation of children.

Skills such as emotional intelligence, innovation and the ability to deal with change are going to be vital as the world continues to evolve rapidly.

Creativity is the key to all of these.

But instead, the government has been putting an increasing emphasis on traditional subjects, promoting STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths), but squeezing out the arts.

Every child begins their journey through life with an incredible potential: a creative mindset that approaches the world with curiosity, with questions, and with a desire to learn about the world and themselves through play.

However, this mindset is often eroded or even erased by conventional educational practices when young children enter school.
