Tournament Format
The format is better ball of pairs match play. Each team will play five nine-hole matches (three on Friday and two on Saturday) in flights of six teams per flight. Flights are arranged by total team handicap index; we are using the lowest index of the past 12 months for all players; handicaps taken from July 1st. Players receiving 90% of handicap.
The Committee reserves the right to alter flights in any way; expanding the field, creating “Open Flights” for teams with more than 10 handicap index stroke spread (teams with a 9 handicap index stroke spread may be added to fill in Open Flights), or anything else deemed to be in the best interest of the Event.
Should there be an odd number of teams due to changes, the extra team will be put into the open flight.
Rules
For each nine-hole match, players will receive one half of their handicap. Each match will be handicapped off the lowest handicapped player in the foursome. Half shots will apply.
Scoring of matches will be as follows: 1 pt. for winning a hole, 1/2 pt. for halve of hole, and 0 pts. for loss of hole.
After all five nine-hole matches have been played, the team with the most points will be declared the winner and qualify for the Shootout.

All play will be played from the II Tees
Exception: Any player whose handicap is established from a set of tees other than II Tees, may choose to play those tees and have their handicap adjusted accordingly.
In the event of a tie for 1st Place in a flight, we will be following a three step process:
• 1st - Head to Head Match
• 2nd - Most Wins
• 3rd - Most Final Day Points
Wildcard: 2 Wildcard Teams that do not win their flight but have the most overall points will make the Horse Race.
There will be a Shootout to determine the Overall Champion. The format for the playoff will be True Alternate Shot. Five teams will be eliminated on Hole #1, Four teams will be eliminated on hole #17, and the final three teams will play #18. Ties will be broken by a chip off from a designated spot chose by the Head Professional. Combined distance will determine the winner. Shots apply where they fall. All play will be from the same set of tees you played during the tournament.

Pari-Mutuels
Minimum wager is $5 across the board ($15) and all increments must be in $5. There will be three separate betting options: A) Friday play, B) Saturday play, and C) Overall play. For Friday play and Saturday play, there are 2 races each day; Flights 1-5 (teams 1 -30) and Flights 6-10 (teams 31-60). For the day money you are only competing against the teams in your race, for the overall money you are competing against every team in the field. Day 1’s Race and the Overall race bets must be made before the first shotgun on Friday. Day 2’s races will be available for betting on Saturday Morning.
Coyote Number
Both Friday and Saturday there will be a random point total chosen. All teams that reach that point total for the day will split the entries collected. $100 cash entry per team covers you for both days. Winning coyote number will be published at the end of the day on the scoreboard.
Overall Champion Flight Pool
$50 cash entry per team. All money collected will be paid out equally to all teams in the flight of the team that wins the Grand Champion Shoot Out. Ex. As long as every team entered, the $3,000 prize would be split 6 ways ($500 to each team in the flight).
‘Goldrush’ Cash Raffle
100 chances numbered 1 to 100 will be sold for $100 each. You may buy as many as you wish and put yours, your guests or either spouses’ names on the chance. We will be eliminating numbers (10 at a time/ in waves of 30) during dinner on Saturday night. For every ten numbers drawn out, we will draw one of those ten for a consolation prize ($100 golf shop certificate). The ten finalists will be announced and called up to the stage. We will eliminate five more names (another consolation prize will be raffled off). The five finalists will then be eliminated one at a time until we reach the final two. At that time, if the final two wishes to split they may, but if one person wants to continue, we will. The grand prize is $9,000 in cash!

Golf Shop Raffle
There will be a golf shop raffle available Friday and Saturday (#1 tee); squares may be purchased on both days. All money taken will be raffled off in merchandise Friday and Saturday night (there will be separate raffles for each day). Cost of raffle squares are 3 for $20, 10 for $50, and 30 for $100.
