It’s time to kick off the holidays with a local tradition that is 72 years strong. The 72nd Annual Rutherford Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade marks the beginning of the Rutherford holiday season. The Rutherford Chamber is proud to once again take the lead in bringing together the community and our local businesses for a day of celebration, appreciation, and good old-fashioned fun for all. The Rutherford business community is booming and together we grow stronger every year. Rutherford is truly the gem of southern Bergen County. Welcome to the 2024 Rutherford holiday season. THIS YEAR THE RUTHERFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO NAME NOT ONLY THE RUTHERFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY, BUT ITS TWO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS, THE RUTHERFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION AND THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY AS THE 2024 GRAND MARSHALS OF THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE
THE RUTHERFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY’S DIRECTOR, GRETCHEN CORSILLO, IS PROUD TO CELEBRATE THE LIBRARY’S 130TH ANNIVERSARY AND BEING NAMED A GRAND MARSHAL THIS YEAR ALONG WITH HER HARD-WORKING, CREATIVE STAFF CONSISTING OF TWENTY PEOPLE. THE LIBRARY OFFERS A WIDE VARIETY OF PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING CHILDREN’S STORYTIMES AND CRAFT ACTIVITIES, ADULT BOOKS CLUBS, TEEN CLUBS AND CREATIVE WORKSHOPS, ESL CLASSES, AUTHOR VISITS, AND SO MUCH MORE THIS FALL THEY WILL BE LAUNCHING A LIBRARY OF THINGS, THROUGH WHICH LIBRARY CARD HOLDERS CAN BORROW ITEMS FROM FOLDING TABLES TO TECHNOLOGY, SUCH AS A GOPRO A BRAND NEW TEEN SPACE, GENEROUSLY FUNDED BY THE RUTHERFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION, WILL OPEN IN EARLY 2025.
