Something Special a virtual benefit to support the Ruth Eckerd Hall Recovery Fund. Friday, November 6, 2020, 7PM As a not-for-profit performing arts organization, Ruth Eckerd Hall relies on a combination of ticket sales and charitable contributions to fulfil our mission. Each fall we host a fundraising event to raise critical funds for our mission to change lives through the performing arts. This year’s fundraising efforts are more crucial than ever, as our main stages have been dark for many months due to the global pandemic. So this year, to raise funds for Ruth Eckerd Hall, we’re going virtual to raise money for our Recovery Fund.

How To Watch the Something Special Virtual Benefit: 1. Log in to our event bidding site using this link: https://reh.cbo.io 2. Upon Login, you’ll be redirected to our auction event page. This is where you’ll view the live-stream program. 3. The event begins at 7PM. When you log in, you’ll see a live stream video pop up at the top of your screen. Do not be alarmed if the video does not pop up immediately. The live stream video may take up to 10 seconds to load.

You will be prompted to enter your credit card information, this is so you can bid in the auction. Your card will not be charged if you do no approve a transaction. Why is a credit card required? Something Special is a virtual fundraising event. While the program is free to watch, we hope you’ll feel moved to participate with a special donation to our Recovery Fund or bid on an auction item. A credit card is required to place a bid or make a donation. If you prefer to make a donation via phone during the event, call us at 727-791-7400. You can also text REH to 56651 to receive direct donation link. What is the best way to watch Something Special? You can watch Something Special on any computer, tablet or phone. The best way to enjoy Something Special is by viewing the event on full screen – press the full screen icon on the bottom right corner of the video. Then, log into the auction on your phone or tablet. This way, you can bid while not missing any of the action! Can I watch the live stream on my TV? In order to view the program on your TV, we recommend using a dedicated laptop to connect to your TV and ensure the video on the laptop is full screen. Why did my screen go blank? Your screen may have time out. Move your mouse around, or press a button on your keyboard. I can’t see the live stream video, what happened? You may have accidently closed out the live stream window. Look for the “live” button near the top left-hand corner of your auction screen. Click that to pull up the live stream video.
Bidding FAQs How To Bid 1. Enter https://reh.cbo.io into your browser’s address bar. (For the best experience, we recommend using Chrome as your browser) 2. Enter in your bidder number, phone number or email address and tap GO. 3. Confirm you are the name listed (a password may be required at this time) then hit “Continue”. 4. Once completely logged in, you can search by item #, keyword, or by category. 5. To place a bid tap on the blue “Bid/Info” button. There you can place a fast bid, bid or set a max bid, and read details about items. 6. Tap on MENU > MY ITEMS to view your activity throughout the event. How do I checkout from my phone? You can securely checkout from your phone with a credit card. Once you have a checkout available, a red “Pay!” button will appear at the top of your bidding screen. Tap on this button to proceed to checkout. If you have not already put a credit card on file, you will need to do so at this time in order to checkout from your phone. *For one comprehensive checkout, wait until all auction items (silent, live, appeal) have closed and the program has concluded. I forgot my bidder #? Type your phone # or email address in the bidder # box. Tap GO. You also can tap on the “?” for help. How do I remove a bid? Right after you place a bid, you have the option to “undo” on the confirmation banner at the top of the screen. Once this banner goes away, you will need to see an event volunteer that is using the butler to remove it. I already selected “no” or replied “STOP” to the SMS text message alerts, not realizing that I wouldn’t receive outbid notices. Can I fix it? Yes! Text “START” to 56651 to begin receiving these once again. How do I place a Max Bid? To place a “max bid”, tap on Bid/Info > BID/SET MAX > select the amount you are willing to spend on the item > SET MAX. The system will bid up to that amount for you automatically. You will be notified via text message if you are outbid on this item. Did I win? Once the auction has closed, you can look under MENU/MY ITEMS to view everything that you have won/purchased.
