Hub for Aging Collaboration A team of faculty, staff, and students through the School’s newly initiated Hub for Aging Collaboration worked in partnership with private philanthropy and a statewide nonprofit to host the inaugural New Jersey Age-Friendly Virtual Fair. This first-of-its kind event, which took place on September 15, 2022, was conceptualized from their multi-year, engaged program of research with local, county, and state age-friendly efforts in New Jersey. The fair was designed to showcase work being done to make the state a better place to age well - across sectors and at different systems levels. Attended by over 260 service providers, government officials, community leaders, retirees, educators, students, and more, this event featured 34 breakout room presentations on topics that ranged from coalition building to research dissemination, from program development to local and statewide policy, from arts to supportive housing, transportation, healthcare, disability, dementia, caregiving, and more. To learn more about this movement-building event, check out this blog post, event website, and session recordings.
