Dedication he Class of 2005 would like to acknowledge a teacher who has served the Rutgers Prep community for many years. He hat been a part of our lives since our first day in the Upper School, and will help to usher in next year's freshmen. He made himself available to us 24/7 at a helpful homeroom advitor and inditpentable member of School Council, and a truttworthy liaiton between the ttudent body and the adminittration. On top of all of these commitments, he ttill finds time to give to hit students. Whether in class or during extra help, he is a thoughtful and inspiring teacher, who always has something new for us to learn. It is hard to find a nicer, more supportive teacher, despite his insistence on the completion of our article notebooks. He has always been a trusted teacher, advisor, and pal to the Rutgers Prep community, which is why the Class of 2005 would like to dedicate the 200$ Ye Dial to:

Mom & Dad-As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to appreciate the many sacrifices you guys have made to send me to Prep, and you know how much I love this school because it’s such a big part of my life. I think maybe, then, that one of the few things I love more than Prep would be you guys. Because everything I have in my life I can trace back to you guys somehow, and you have no idea how much that means to me. (Or maybe you do. I don’t know.) ,/P-Nobodv likes older brothers, and you’re no exception. Just kidding. Thanks for, more or less, introducing me to Family Guy (like I introduced you to AC/DC), and I love you, dude. (I’m sure there’s a lot more I could say, but I can’t think of it right now-and after all, Family Guy is pretty important, so don’t feel too slighted.) Mrs. Szeles- You must be one of the most talented, remarkable, amazing people I know, and I’m grateful that I’ve known you for so long in my life (since 2nd grade, which feels like an age ago). At first, I wasn’t sure Madrigals would be worth all my Activity periods, and I’m happy to say I was wrong. Thank you for sharing yourself with me and for making music an indelible part of my life. I wish I’d tried out earlier than I did, but I can’t change that-I can only continue to try out. DEDICATION This year's Middle School Yearbook is dedicated to Mrs. Peterson, uiho makes band a favorite class among students in trades 5 through 8. While not all of the students perform with the band, all enjoy listening to concerts and special performances throughout the year. The music she selects for the hand has been described as "awesome," ranging from classical to popular. Each year, the 5th and f h grade band plays at closing exercises, providing 8th graders with a musical sendoff as they exit the Middle School and adding a wonderful touch to the day. Students in band recall that Mrs. Peterson is a demanding but generous teacher. Students who make frequent mistakes because they have not rehearsed thoroughly may Find themselves playing solos for the entire band, but they admit that this rather frightening experience causes them to practice more and does make them more confident about performing. As a special treat after a concert, Mrs. Peterson may sometimes allow a class to see a movie which, as her students describe it, "isn't about music." She recognizes that even the most dedicated performers sometimes need some down time. Mrs. Peterson keeps in touch with some of her students as an eighth grade advisor, and her enthusiasm for roller coasters is legendary. Other teachers on the 8th grade trips always feel better having a black belt in karate along in case any difficult situations arise. They are not so enthusiastic about playing against her in video games, however; it is much better to have her on your side than as an opponent. 194
