Admission Timeline
Sept-Dec: Application, Open Houses, Interview, “Fill the file”
October 1: Financial Aid application available via Clarity
Oct-Dec: Take standardized test/submit scores *Early Action: 9th Grade*
Early Jan Financial Aid application due for new families
February: Admission Decision communicated
February: Financial Aid Award eligibility decision communicated
ADMISSION BY DIVISION
Lower School Admission Step 1 - Complete the online application. Step 2 - Once you have completed the online application, you will see an option to select an interview time. Step 3 - Submit the required information:
Report Cards(Grades 1-5=current +previous 2 yrs) Teacher Recommendation
If your student is entering one of the grades listed below, they will be assessed by the grade teacher either in a small group or class visit.
Pre-Kindergarten (3yrs old by 9/1) Junior Kindergarten (4 yrs old by 9/1) Kindergarten (5 yrs old by 9/1) 1st grade 2nd grade
IOWA Assessment (grades 3-5)(ISEE is also accepted)

Transcript/Report Cards (Most current +previous 2 yrs) Teacher Recommendations(Math + English OR History) Standardized Test Scores- ISEE or SSAT (grades 6-8) Timed Writing Sample(given by Admission Director at interview)

• You may begin the financial aid application process as early as October 1st. • To be eligible for consideration for financial aid at RPS, new families must complete their application by the early January deadline.
Financial Aid Timeline
• Financial aid decisions will be communicated beginning in February. • Although, the two departments and decisions are independent of each other, the timing is important as you decide whether this is the right choice/right time for your family.
