It is my pleasure to welcome you to this year’s Multicultural Business & Career Expo — my last as your state senator. I’m retiring from public service at the end of the year and want to take this opportunity to say thank you and farewell.

Assisting you, my constituents, has always been my first priority and I’ll miss making a positive difference in your lives. I applaud you for choosing to run a small business in California. It takes determination and hard work but, as the backbone of our local economy, you make a huge difference in your communities.
