Because I am a Girl For the past couple of years, several senior high students have been raising money for the Because I am a Girl Foundation. This Foundation is a global initiative to end gender inequality, promote girls’ rights and lift the girls and their families out of poverty.

On the first Monday of each month, the Junior High Art Department runs art workshops. So far, we have done printmaking and acrylic painting, and in December we made Christmas angels. The workshops occur after school and are available to all students on a sign-up basis. It's a great creative outlet for students who are not currently taking art, as well as a way for all kids to have fun and gain experience with different mediums.

On Thursday, December 20, two grade 12 students, Jenna Walsh and Hanne Lie Davis, organized a bake sale that raised $200. Thank you to all the students and staff who contributed baked goods! Currently, they have raised over $900 towards their goal of $1,500. They plan to do other fundraisers later in the year. Both students are grateful for the support from the Rundle community!

Senior Spring Production: The Three Musketeers Rehearsals are underway for the cast and crew of over 70 students for this spring’s production of the classic swashbuckling tale: The Three Musketeers. Performances are scheduled for May 1-3, 2013 and tickets will be available to purchase by mid-March from the front office. Be sure to get yours early as this crowd pleaser will sell out.
