From the editor
Welcome to the third edition of Our Canvas Magazine!
With five copywriters newly joining the team, this edition was completed by the biggest editing team we had so far. More than forty submissions from Upper and Lower School faculty and students include artwork such as color pencil drawings or selfportraits, and photos taken on and off campus. I hope this edition can bring flashbacks of all the memories of school this academic year as everyone takes off for a long summer vacation.
I want to thank everyone who submitted their artwork or photos, and the nine copywriters who helped tremendously with everything. But for the most part- thank you to Mr. Perreault and Mrs. DiLorenzo for making everything possible ever since the start of the magazine and Mrs. Rydingsword and Mrs. Stern for helping us with collecting the artwork throughout the whole year. I couldn’t have possibly done anything without all the help.
Looking bacLooLook
It has been a year since Our Canvas was first published, and I am genuinely grateful for everything I was able to experience through creating and editing this magazine. I am so excited to see what the new team will be able to accomplish and really hope this magazine can continue to be something that can bring everyone together in the Rumsey community.
Thank you!

Artwork description: The title of this work is called "Artificial Flavoring." For my winter term I decided to take independent art. I chose to work with colored pencils because I wanted to improve my skills and learn more about drawing with them. I ended up choosing a picture of a ring pop and recreating it.
