UNIVER-CITY @ UNION LAWN ABPL30042_ LANDSCAPE STUDIO_ URBAN OPEN SPACE
PLAN & ELEVATIONS
// As mentioned previously, it was the intention to provide shelter from the elements via a curved roof structure with multiple points of entry - this enables greater permeability whilst still providing private ‘nooks’ in which users can socialise, study or relax. The height at which the curved roof commences along the steel supports was heavily considered; with an average starting height of 2.5 metres (from ground) it enables users within the structure to have a clear line of sight through the Union Lawn area when both sitting and standing. Therefore, the private areas provide a sense of enclosure without disconnecting the user from surrounding activities
