6 April, Thursday - Grandborough Farmers’ Market

– On the 1st Thursday of every month at St Peter’s Church CV23 8DH from 10.00 am – 12.30 pm. We have 6 regular stallholders selling, bread, cakes, cheese, Manx Loaghtan lamb, Dexter beef, honey, jam and pickles, ice cream, butter and plants. There is a Cafe with home made cakes and sausage rolls, tea and coffee, all of which are £1 each.

7 -8 April - U9 and U11’s Rugby Club Festival held at Rugby School.

8 April, Saturday (Second Saturday of every Month) Community Cafe with free table tennis 10.00am - 1pm held at Rogers Hall, Hillmorton. Run by the Community for the Community. Home made cakes and hot food available. www.heartcg.org.

8 April (Easter Saturday) - Easter Egg Hunt/Trail/Face painting at Caldecott Park 10 til 2pm. Rugby themed 200th anniversary of the game. £3.50 per child (prize & activity leaflet). No need to book. Run by Rugby Round Table all proceeds go to local charities & good causes.

8th & 9th April - Easter Art Exhibition. Napton Art Group are holding their Easter Exhibition of members’ work at Napton Village Hall (CV47 8LS) on 8th and 9th of April between 10am and 5 pm. There will be about 200 paintings in all mediums including oils, watercolour, acrylics and pastels and greetings cards of some of these will be available. Admission is £1 with free entry for children and there will be light refreshments in the pop-up cafe. Everybody who comes can vote for The Best in Show. The art group has a membership that now stands at over 60 and meets every Thursday afternoon at Napton Village Hall and has a programme featuring a wide range of demonstrations and weekend workshops.

15 April, Saturday - TeachRex, The T-Rex Show at the Macready Theatre. 10am & 12.30pm shows. For children aged 3+ Teach Rex uses life-like dinosaurs to perform their 45-minute show, teaching children about the anatomy and life of one the most mesmerizing creatures that have ever roamed our planet. 16 April, Sunday - Daffodil Sunday at Newnham Paddox (Monks Kirby, CV23 0RA) By kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Denbigh, Daffodil Sunday is held again this year at Newnham Paddox, Monks Kirby. Open from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. admission costs £5.00 , but free for those under 16 years Proceeds go to the Friends of the Revel C of E. Churches. Free parking, toilet facilities, woodland and lakeside walks, preserves and plants for sale, ice cream, wood turners, pottery, archery, alpacas, owls, Dunchurch Silver Band, Choirs.
