Formedin1919,RuardeanHillplayedintheoldForestofDeanleagueuntilitsterminationin thelate1950’s.TheythenmovedintotheNorthGloucestershireLeagueandhaveremained thereinsomecapacityeversince.

RuardeanHillgainedtheirfirstpromotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeaguein1994/95and competedinthisleagueforseveralseasonsbeforebeingrelegatedin2001.They immediatelyregainedpromotionthefollowingyearonlytoberelegatedagainin2004.In the2011/12season,theyearnedalastdaypromotionbacktotheseniorleagueaswellas reachingthefinalofthe‘AmateurCup’The2012/13seasonbroughttheclubitsfirst promotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeagueDivision1fromback-to-backpromotions.‘TheHill’ finishedinthetopeightforeachofthenextthreeseasonsbeforefinallywinningtheDivision 1titlein2016/2017season.Theyscoredanincredible125goalsandconcededjust34in35 games.
RuardeanHill’scurrentfirstteamhasagoodmixtureof youth,fromouryouthteams,andexperiencefromthe samecoregroupofplayers.Thecoregroupplayers havebeenintheteamforabout10years.Theynowfield 3seniorteams;theclub’spromotionsowealottothe depthofitsotherseniorteams
Theclubarenowcompetingintheir5thseasoninthe MarcliffCountyLeaguehavingfinished9thand5thin theirfirsttwoseasons.Theyarenowfullycementedin theCountyLeagueandtheyarelookingtopushonand finishashighaspossible.

TheyoungWicksidequicklysawsuccess,winningtheIrRegionaldivision withoutlosingagame.Afeatalmostrepeatedthefollowingseasonwhen theyfinishedasrunnersup.ThencameaswitchtotheBristol&District league,wheresuccesscontinuedtakingthedivision4titlein1974,and winningtheGFAMinorcuptheseasonafter.

WhenPartridge&Lovedisbanded,itgaveWickCAtheopportunitytorelocate toOldburyLane,wheretheylateramalgamatedwithWickAthletictoforma singleclubinthemid70's.Thissparkedalengthyperiodofprogressforthe clubwiththeintroductionofaReserveside.The1stteam’striumphinthe1978 JuniorCupwasfollowedbydoublecelebrationsin1982whenbothclubsides werepromoted-the1stteamwinningtheB&DSeniorDivandtheReservesas runnersupinB&DDiv4.

SuccesscontinuedandtwoseasonslaterWickhadanotherdouble celebrationwiththe1stteamtakingtheBristolPremCombinationdiv1title andtheReservestheB&Ddiv3crown.Thefollowingyearswerealeanperiod fortheclubwhichincludedrelegation.ThenwithanamechangetoRMC Wick(throughitssponsorshipfromthelocalquarry)fortunesturnedin1998 withasecondsuccessintheGFAJuniorCup.Thiswasthecatalysttoanother successfulperiodattheclub,andinthe1999/2000seasontheFirstteam returnedtotheBristolPremCombaftertakingtheB&DSeniorDivtitle.
AnotherpromotionthefollowingseasonsawtheFirstteaminthePremierDiv oftheBristolPremwheretheywontheBristolPremCupinboth2003&2005.

Withaninfluxofnewplayers,Wickwereabletointroduceathirdsidewiththis AteamstartinginB&Ddiv6.2004sawtheFirstteamfinishfourthintheBristol Prem,andpromotionforboththeReservesandAteams,althoughthe ReservestastedrelegationtoB&Ddiv2thefollowingseason.Wick'sdreams ofpromotiontotheCountyLeagueweredashedinthe2004/5seasonwhen apoorendtotheseasonsawthemlosetheirleadingpositionatthehalf-way stage Inthe2007/8seasonthereserveswerepromotedtotheB&DSenior div,buttherewaslittlefurthersuccessfortheclubsthreeSaturdaysidesuntil the2016/17season,whichsawthefirstteamnarrowlypippedfortheBristol PremCombtitlebutgainpromotiontotheMarcliffeCountyLeagueunderthe reinsofMikeStrawford.
The2017/18seasonsawtheAteamfoldthroughalackofyoungerplayers, buttheformationofasecondveteranssideplayingonaSunday,whereboth vetsidesenjoyedleagueandCupsuccess.The2019/20seasonlookedsetto beafantasticyearforboththefirstteamandreserves,butwithleagueand Cuphonoursinsight,theseasonfellfoultotheCOVID-19pandemic.Onthe upsidethereserveswerepromotedtothePremCombDiv1.
