RuardeanHillRangersplaytheirfootballonthehighestpointintheForestofDean,920feet abovesealevel.

Formedin1919,RuardeanHillplayedintheoldForestofDeanleagueuntilitsterminationin thelate1950’s.TheythenmovedintotheNorthGloucestershireLeagueandhaveremained thereinsomecapacityeversince.

RuardeanHillgainedtheirfirstpromotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeaguein1994/95and competedinthisleagueforseveralseasonsbeforebeingrelegatedin2001.They immediatelyregainedpromotionthefollowingyearonlytoberelegatedagainin2004.In the2011/12season,theyearnedalastdaypromotionbacktotheseniorleagueaswellas reachingthefinalofthe‘AmateurCup’.The2012/13seasonbroughttheclubitsfirst promotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeagueDivision1fromback-to-backpromotions.‘TheHill’ finishedinthetopeightforeachofthenextthreeseasonsbeforefinallywinningtheDivision 1titlein2016/2017seasonTheyscoredanincredible125goalsandconcededjust34in35 games.

RuardeanHill’scurrentfirstteamhasagoodmixtureof youth,fromouryouthteams,andexperiencefromthe samecoregroupofplayers.Thecoregroupplayers havebeenintheteamforabout10years.Theynowfield 3seniorteams;theclub’spromotionsowealottothe depthofitsotherseniorteams.

Theclubarenowcompetingintheir5thseasoninthe MarcliffCountyLeaguehavingfinished9thand5thin theirfirsttwoseasons.Theyarenowfullycementedin theCountyLeagueandtheyarelookingtopushonand finishashighaspossible.

QWFCwasformedin1994,withjustoneboysunder14'steam

ItwasstartedbyDaveMulrainandRonCapper,whotookontherolesof SecretaryandTreasurer,positionstheywentontoholdforafurthertenyears. DavehassincereturnedtotheclubasChairmanandisinhissixthseason.

Theylaidthefoundationsfortheclubtogrowtothepresentdaywherewe haveover400membersacross23competitiveteamsofallages,including girlssides,2adultteams,walkingfootballandVeterans.Manyhourshave beendedicatedtotheclubbyanumberofvolunteerstogettothepointwe areattoday.InJuly2021,weinstalledfloodlightsduetogainingagrantfrom CrestNicholson.TheywereinstalledbyMUSCOlightingwhohaveinstalled lightsinmanyPremierleaguesides.

WecontinuethisseasonwithourSeniorsCommittee,withJamesMulrain takingthevicechairmanseat KellyMulrainwillcontinueinherroleasSeniors Secretary.DaveMulrainandJamesMulrainwillworkalongsideAndy GutteridgeintheTreasurer’srole.Manyofourdedicatedplayersarestepping uptohelptherunningoftheclubtakingonroles.

SteveSparrowcontinuedinhisroleasFirstteammanageratthebeginning oftheseason,withRobPageascoach.SincethemiddleofMarch,Tony HawkinshastakenoverasFirstTeammanager Alongsidehim,LeeWorgan willbehelpingcoachtheteamtosuccess. Wehaveadedicatedcoregroup ofplayersagainthisseason,sowehavehighhopesforapositiveand successfulseasonintheCountyLeague.

OurReserveteamarecurrentlyinStroudLeagueDivision3.Manager,Ash Pocockwillbecontinuingandstartinghisfirstfullseasonwiththeclub.Ash willbeleadingtheReservestosuccesswithsomenewfacesandamixtureof youngandmatureplayers,wehavehighhopesthattheywilltriumph. Wehaveabrilliantbunchofplayers/managementbothonandoffthefield andwishbothteamsthebestofluckthisseason.
