Our first away game of the season saw us travel to Bream where we lost the toss and were put in to bat 2 early wickets saw us 50-2 but in comes Jayner (90) to join Taz (61) and the pair put on a 3rd wicket stand of 150 A late flurry of runs from Aaron and Kerry saw us to 262-5 A strong start by our opening bowlers saw Bream 41-3 with AOC getting his first wickets of the season supported well by Jack 2 wickets each from Alfie and Taz put us in the driving seat and we secured our 3rd win of the season This week we welcome Stanway who are also 3 from 3 so it should be a good contest!

- 2ND XI

I’m still coming down from last week’s match Winning the toss and batting first, we were indebted to Bobby, who played a masterful innings to guide us to a decent total of 180 Any delusions this score would guarantee victory were quickly quashed as Parkend stormed to 82 for 0 off 14 overs Thankfully, a few tight overs (and some wickets) helped us regain some control, which was never relinquished - the icing on the cake being that it was our Under 15s who closed out the game, bowling the last 11 overs of the match (including a brilliant spell from Fred and great death overs from Riley and Aiden) to seal a 9-run victory Fingers crossed for a similar result today against Westbury!

SAM WHITE - WOMEN'S

This week I want to offer a huge congratulations to Fiona Greaves, who owns Forest Physiotherapy and one of our much valued partners Last week Fiona completed 13 days of cycling from John O’Groats to Land End To say this was a challenge is an understatement but she has achieved something beyond expectations She’s a inspiration for the whole of the women ’ s team, proving when you set your mind to something, you can achieve your goals! It’s not too late to sponsor her via https://www justgiving com/fundraising/ourbigcycle23
