Royal Tunbridge Wells, nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Kent and East Sussex border has always been a leisure destination since the discovery of the Chalybeate Spring in 1606. As we approach Christmas, the town steps up a gear! Our fabulous open air ice rink launches on the 15th November in Calverley Grounds, Peter Pan is flying into The Assembly Hall Theatre and The Snow Queen is on stage at Trinity Theatre. Fireworks will be lighting up the sky on the 2nd November in Dunorlan Park, raising thousands of pounds for local charities. Santa will be taking up residence in his grotto at Royal Victoria Place from the 14th November, as an extra special treat, he will be welcoming Paw Patrol as his guests on the 14th! Spa Valley Railway will be running Santa Special services, local farmers and food producers will have weekly seasonal markets throughout December in Market Square and Pantiles markets will be selling quirky and lovely Christmas gifts. The Forum is busy with live music, comedy tapas, open mic sessions and the Anti Nowhere League are back for their annual Christmas party – with one night sold out, a second has been added! Our superb independent retailers will be filling their shelves and windows with glorious Christmas gifts to satisfy the needs of the most discerning shoppers and with parking costing £2 to stay all day Sunday, perhaps it’s time to visit Royal Tunbridge Wells!
