Bonus Key Terms

Dividend

A sum of money paid regularly (typically quarterly) by a company to its shareholders out of its profts (or reserves).

Unicorn

A term used in the venture capital industry to describe a startup company with a value of over $1 Billion.

Gig Economy

An economy in which temporary, fexible jobs are common and companies tend toward hiring independent contractors and freelancers instead of full-time employees.
