Bayer CropScience Campus, Alfred-Nobel-Straße 50, 40789 Monheim am Rhein, Germany.
Bayer Crop Science Campus is located in at about 24 km ride from the city of Düsseldorf, 14 km from Leverkusen and 25 km from Cologne.
For logistical reasons, RTRS recommends Meeting Point 2022 participants to stay in the city of Cologne given its extensive hotel facilities and its easy access to the Bayer Crop Science Campus in Monheim am Rhein.

FROM COLOGNE AIRPORT TO COLOGNE CENTRAL STATION
The Cologne Airport has a underground train station, that can be reached by escalators. The railway company, Deutsche Bahn (DB), sells tickets online (https://www.bahn.com/en) or at vending machines in stations.
Take the S19 to Cologne Hbf, which takes 15 minutes and departs every 20 minutes.
A one way 2nd class ticket is around €3,00.
Uber
A ride from Cologne Airport to Cologne central station costs around 35-40 €.
A trip from Cologne Airport to Bayer Crop Science Campus costs around 70-80 €.
Taxi Cologne
A ride from the Airport to Cologne central station costs around 40-50 €.
A trip from Cologne Airport to Bayer Crop Science Campus costs around 80-100 €.
There is always a queue of taxis available in front of the airport building and the central station.
FROM FRANKFURT AIRPORT TO COLOGNE CENTRAL STATION
The train station is located opposite Terminal 1. Simply follow the signs through the connecting corridor in the direction of long-distance train station (about 10-minute walk).
From Terminal 2 you can take the shuttle bus (bus stop at the bus station in front of Terminal 1) or by SkyLine (bus stop in Terminal 1).
The ICE Sprinter, which runs up to 10 times a day, takes less than an hour to arrive at Cologne central station. DB sells tickets online (https://www.bahn.com/en) or at vending machines in stations.
A one way 2nd class ticket is around €30,00.

FROM DÜSSELDORF AIRPORT TO COLOGNE CENTRAL STATION
You can take the Skytrain from terminal A/B and terminal C to Düsseldorf Airport station.
The SkyTrain takes you from terminal A/B/C to the long-distance train station in seven minutes for free.
With the RE1, RE5 and RE6 you arrive at Cologne central station in approx. 40 minutes. The train leaves every 20 minutes.
DB sells tickets online (https://www.bahn.com/en) or at vending machines in stations.
A one way 2nd class ticket is around €15,00.

FROM COLOGNE CENTRAL STATION TO BAYER CROP SCIENCE CAMPUS
The bus and train connections from Cologne to Monheim am Rhein are not easy to follow and require several transfers to reach the destination. For this reason, our advise for those who do not wish to take shuttes offered by RTRS is to arrive by taxi or uber.
Uber:
A ride from Cologne central station to Monheim am Rhein costs around 50 - 60 €.
Taxi Cologne:
A ride from Cologne central station to Monheim am Rhein costs around 70 - 80 €.
SHUTTLE-POINTS NEAR COLOGNE CENTRAL STATION
Participants may wish to take the shuttle service provided by RTRS to/from Cologne – Bayer Crop Science Campus in Monheim am Rhein from meeting points in Cologne to transfer all those participants who require it. The pick-up points of the shuttle service are at the following hotels: Hilton Hotel Marzellenstraße 13-17, 50668 Cologne Maritim Hotel Heumarkt 20, 50667 Cologne The buses will have an RTRS sign to identify them and the pickup time at both hotels will be at 6:45am and return at 6.30pm (CET).
ARRIVAL BY CAR TO BAYER CROP SCIENCE CAMPUS FROM FRANKFURT AM MAIN OR DÜSSELDORF
From Frankfurt Am Main
Take the highway A3 to the "Leverkusen" motorway intersection. Change to the A1 in the direction of "Düsseldorf-Süd" until the motorway interchange
"Leverkusen-West". Continue on the A59 in the direction of "Düsseldorf-Süd" until you reach the "Monheim-Süd" interchange and drive in the direction of "Leverkusen-Hitdorf". At the motorway exit, the way to Bayer is signposted.
From Düsseldorf
Option 1
Parking is available on the premises, but prior notification is required.
Take the A 46 to the "Düsseldorf-Süd" motorway intersection. Change to the A 59 in the direction of "Leverkusen / Köln" until the motorway interchange "Monheim-Süd" and drive in the direction of "Leverkusen-Hitdorf". At the motorway exit, the way to Bayer is signposted.
Option 2
Take the A1 in the direction of "Dortmund/Oberhausen/Düsseldorf", from there take exit 99 in the direction of "Düsseldorf" and join the A59. Take exit 26 in the direction of "Lev. Hitdorf'' and take the A542. At the motorway exit, the way to Bayer is signposted.

Visit the Chocolate Museum to take a look into the processing area, enjoy a little chocolate and learn more about the craft of chocolate making.

HOHENZOLLERN BRIDGE
