Case Studies The Vogtle expansion and modernization plans in 2009 expected the two 1,117 Megawatt Westinghouse AP1000 rectors to costs $14 billion. It is estimated that the total costs have ballooned to more than $30 Billion. More than 5 years behind, Reactor 3 has just now come online.
