The RSM STAR Case Competition 2019 organizing committee wishes you a warm welcome to this year’s edition. We are looking forward to welcoming you and meeting you all from April 10th to 17th!

In this information booklet we will give you some information about the rules, theme, main partner, previous participants, program and organizing committee.

The RSM STAR Case Competition 2018 also followed this theme, with a strong focus on waste management. This year, we will seek to incorporate multiple facets of Sustainability, to diversify and ensure more stimulating case solving.

Main Partner We are happy to announce EY-Parthenon as the Main Partner of the RSM STAR Case Competition 2019! EY-Parthenon is a strategy consultancy company, committed to bring unconventional yet pragmatic thinking, in line with their clients’ wishes, to deliver actionable strategies, for real impact in today’s complex business landscape. During the RSM STAR Case Competition 2019, you will get in touch with several employees of EY-Parthenon during a case-solving training.

Sustainability.

The RSM STAR Case Competition 2019 will take place from April 10th to 17th, 2019.

During the week there will be a variety of activities, ranging from festive social drinks, discovering Rotterdam, a company dinner, and much more! There will be three cases, in which the participants will take part and solve in respectively 6, 10 and 24 hours. The partners will be companies from the Netherlands who want you to solve a real struggle within their company. This will be an opportunity for your team to demonstrate you ability to navigate business problems, whilst adapting to and learning from different cultures.These partners will be announced during the competition week itself. Sustainability Speakers

As we are aiming to improve the competition each year, we are proud to announce that we will host a new event! Several inspiring speakers from leading companies will come to campus to discuss several CSR-topic with each other in Sustainability Speakers! This session will be followed by networking drinks where the speakers, our main partner, previous case partners and RSM will be present.

Opening Ceremony During the Opening Ceremony, we will get to know eachother and explore the city of Rotterdam.

Sustainability Speakers Sustainability Speakers is one of our new events, where speakers from inspiring companies will discuss sustainabilty topics with eachother and you.

Company Dinner During the Company Dinner, we will have dinner with company representative of the Main Partner as well as the Case Partners at a unique location in Rotterdam.

Finales After each case, the best teams will present their solutions in a public final. The winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on Wednesday evening.
