CREATING POSSIBILITIES FOR ALL ABILITIES After years of planning and strong community support, we are excited to announce that Phase One of the StarPoint Outdoor Enhancement & Accessibility Project is officially underway at the StarPoint Day Program.

This first phase includes the reconstruction and expansion of the main parking lot, along with the addition of a new covered entryway and automatic sliding doors—enhancements that will greatly improve accessibility and the overall arrival experience for all participants, staff and visitors.

Looking ahead, Phase Two is scheduled to begin later this year and will focus on transforming the front and back outdoor spaces. Planned improvements include accessible pathways, welcoming gathering areas, raised garden beds, and thoughtfully designed landscaping—all created to ensure an inclusive and engaging environment for people of all abilities.

PAR FOR A PURPOSE Golf Tournament Raises $40,000 The Par for a Purpose Golf Tournament is quickly becoming one of the most exciting events of the year - and for good reason!

From fun and creative on-course challenges to delicious food, great prizes, and an incredible group of people, it’s a day full of energy, generosity and purpose.

A huge thank you to the 120 golfers who joined us on the course, our outstanding sponsors, board of directors, and everyone who helped make this event such an incredible success! Don’t miss out—mark your calendars now for next year’s tournament on Friday, May 14, 2027 at Mill Creek Golf Club.

Congratulations to the winning teams: 1st Place: I-85 Golf (pictured left); 2nd Place - Trust Company of the South; 3rd Place - Bob Chandler Team.

This year's helicopter golf ball drop included cash prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250. Though nobody scored the hole-in-one, the closest balls still walked away with the prize money. This was an unforgettable highlight made possible thanks to National On Demand, Barber Heating and Air, and I-85 Golf.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament supported the StarPoint Outdoor Enhancement & Accessibility Project (see page 3), now underway.

REACH FOR THE STARS CAMPAIGN Creating Possibilities for All Abilities The Reach for the Stars Campaign is a fundraising initiative to support the StarPoint Outdoor Enhancement & Accessibility Project. The progress we've made to date is only possible because of the incredible generosity of our community. We are deeply grateful for the support of individual and corporate donors, as well as grant funding from The Cannon Foundation, the City of Burlington, Impact Alamance, and New Leaf Society.

Combined with the success of our annual Charity Golf Tournament and Helicopter Golf Ball Drop, these contributions have helped us raise more than $960,000 toward our $1.6 million campaign goal.

The Cannon Foundation Awards $50,000 to Ralph Scott Lifeservices Ralph Scott LifeServices is honored to announce that we have been awarded a grant from The Cannon Foundation to support the next phase of the StarPoint Outdoor Enhancement & Accessibility Project.

This generous investment will help us continue creating a more accessible, inclusive, and engaging outdoor environment for the individuals we serve.

We are deeply grateful to The Cannon Foundation for its commitment to strengthening communities and improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Their support brings us one step closer to realizing our vision for a welcoming outdoor space where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive.

GONE FISHING!  ne of our favorite traditions is our fishing trips to the local lakes and marinas. Staff and the O individuals we support look forward to spending a relaxing day outdoors enjoying everything the park has to offer.

While some cast a line in hopes of the day's biggest catch, others fire up the grill for burgers and hot dogs, relax on the swings, or simply enjoy tossing a football. With so many ways to participate, there's truly something for everyone.

The accessible pathway at Guilford-Mackintosh Park extends close to the water's edge, making it an ideal location for individuals of all abilities to enjoy the experience together.

We are grateful for community spaces that make inclusive experiences possible and are already looking forward to our next fishing adventure this fall!

FALL FOR ALL FESTIVAL OCTOBER 17 Last year marked the first Fall for All Adaptive & Inclusive community festival hosted by Ralph Scott Lifeservices. The festival is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities/autism in mind with adaptive games, activities and crafts in a sensory-friendly environment.

We are thrilled to welcome back crowd favorites Drums Alive with Magnolia Melodies Music Therapy; face painting by Painted Grape;entertainment by Magic Christopher; and crafts with Alamance Libraries. More surprises are in store this year make plans to join us on Saturday, October 17 from 10am 1pm at the Burlington Sock Puppets Stadium.
