EVENT INFORMATION
Never miss the chance to dance!
The format of the weekend will be:
•Friday evening - registration and ceilidh
Come along and join in a weekend of fun, tness and friendship in a brand-new RSCDS event designed for all families (parents/legal guardians with young dancers aged 35 and under), together with dancers aged 40 and under.
The event will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2025 in Moffat, south-west Scotland.
The Youth Services Committee would be delighted to see you in Moffat!
•Saturday and Sunday morning classes - mix of ceilidh and Scottish country
• Saturday evening - dance
• Sunday morning - classes and other exciting activities
The weekend ticket includes:
• Friday evening ceilidh and Saturday evening dance
• Classes on Saturday and Sunday

Please note that this is a non-residential event and attendees will be responsible for booking their own accommodation if required. All classes will only run if there is sufficient interest.
LOCATION
Mo at is nestled in the heart of southern Scotland and is a vibrant, bustling town o ering the warmest of Scottish welcomes. Join us in Mo at, the ideal place to spend the weekend with family and friends.
Situated just over an hour from Glasgow and an hour and a half from Edinburgh, Moffat offers great connections to the A74(M).
Direct buses operate from Glasgow to Moffat and railway stations are located at Dumfries and Lockerbie, with onward bus connections available. Transport from Dumfries and Lockerbie railway stations can be arranged by contacting ysc@rscds.org once you have booked your place for the weekend.
Free parking is available in Moffat town centre.

CLASSES
A mix of ceilidh, family and Scottish country dancing classes will take place on Saturday and Sunday morning.
At time of booking, please indicate your level of experience of both ceilidh and Scottish country dancing for classes to be allocated.
On both days, classes will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm, with a break at 11am. Lunch will then be available at 12.30pm. Afternoon classes will take place on Saturday from 1.30pm - 3pm.
After class on Saturday, why not come along with your family and friends for refreshments and cake (Moffat Muffins!) from 3pm.
Please note, all classes will only run if there is sufficient interest.
SOCIAL DANCING
We're delighted to host a ceilidh on the Friday evening from 7pm - 10pm, with a break for the evening bu et at 8pm.
A dance will be held on the Saturday evening from 7pm - 10pm, with the buffet served from 5.30pm – 6.45pm.
Both evening events will take place in Upper Annandale Parish Church.
