The Ribbon House serves as both a representation of the client's journey through the construction business and a living space.
The Concept The Ribbon House is the client's enduring tribute to his commitment to his profession and an actual labour of love. The Ribbon House represents the client's path through the construction industry and being a home for them. The client desired a residence that would depict his professional development and continually remind him of his accomplishments. The structure is wrapped by a concrete ribbon, a reflection of the fluidity of nature, giving it a dynamic appearance. The free-flowing concrete facade captures attention both inside and outside of the house. Its curves represent the evolution of the client's work. The vast volume of the building is divided into delicate bends that allow for plenty of sunlight and airflow while protruding concrete volumes offer shelter and contribute to the building's unique design. Overall, the impression is one of continuity and an endless journey.
Design & Execution The project's chief architect, Mr Badrinath Kaleru of Studio Ardete, designed the Ribbon House. At the same time, Mr Ravijeet Singh worked as the project's chief engineer, Ar. Prerna Kaleru was in charge of the layout. RS Builders managed the product development, ensuring everything was carried out flawlessly. Having a plot size of 3712.47 sq ft, The Ribbon House was constructed in 2022.
