Responsive ADA compliant Re-Design of webberestates.com
Project Scope:
Rick has been providing for the web design and hosting needs of Webber Estates since 2013. Recently they came to Rick with a request to re-build thier web-site to be fully compliant for user accessibility under recent rulings with regard to ADA compliance. A small sampling of Webber Estates’ requirements for the project, include:
• a chatbot to greet visitors, answer questions and route site visitors to an agent,
• area MLS listing imports,
• a blog that allows for simple posting by their agents, and automatically cross posts to all of the agency’s social media accounts and alerts their clientele.
• user accessibility and ADA compliance
What Rick Delivered:
Utilizing Wordpress as the platform, Rick built Webber Estates a new site that is ADA compliant while delivering an optimized website experience on devices with different widths and different resolutions. The site connects visitors directly to their agents using a chatbot that greets the visitor and asks questions to determine the visitors needs, answering simple questions and then connecting them to the appropriate agent for further detail.
The site works directly with their MLS(VCRDMLS) to provide all area listings, office listings and individual agent listings. The site automatically cross posts blog entries from specified users to all of Webber Estates social media accounts. The site also uses SEO best practices, and the HTML is written with the sites good ranking on search engines in mind. The site is built around WCAG and makes proper use of H tags. The primary contents are above the secondary contents in markup, and there is very good internal site linking.
