The Basics
Amansala is a non smoking space If you must smoke do it down on the beach and be aware sparks can cause fires!!
Can I drink the water?
Not unless you want to stay inside all days and lose 10 pounds very rapidly. Use the bottled water that is provided in your room for drinking. The tap water is fine to brush your teeth.
Can I flush toilet paper?
Please do not flush toilet paper, use the waste paper basket.
Do I have a safe?
Yes, you have a safe in your room, please use it for valuables as we are not responsible for them. Instructions are found on the safe and if you need assistance please ask.
Do you change sheets daily?
Sheets are changed upon request, just place one on the floor so the housekeepers will know you would like them changed.
Do you change towels daily?
Every other day. Please hold on to your beach towel and bring it back from the beach with you. Towels can be swapped out for a fresh set by request.
Do rooms at have air conditioning?
Some rooms have AC and it is available during the summer months from 10pm to 5am.
Do we offer laundry service? At this time we do not offer laundry service.
Do I need a converter? Not for US or Canadian appliances.
Is there a pharmacy nearby?
There are several pharmacies in town where you can get the most commonly needed items.
Is there a doctor available?
Should you require a doctor there is a local English speaking doctor that makes house calls for about $85 a visit. If you should require that please see the front desk.

you can ask for a courtesy check out until 1pm. See the front desk to find out if we can accommodate your request. Late checkout times can be made for up to 4pm, fee applies,

Transportation to the airport?
If you would like us to arrange transportation and have not already confirmed your departure time please do so at the front desk 48 hour prior to your departure. Private taxi $110, $55 if shared, SUV $135, $70 if shared. Let us know your preference. Keep in mind once transportation is arranged there is a cancellation fee.
Can I sign extras to my room? Yes you can.
Is a tip included?
On anything signed in the restaurant there is an automatic 10% added, if you prefer to leave less or more, please do so at the time of signing each check. Keep in mind everything is subject to a 13% tax.

What about gratuities for house keeping or other staff?
If anyone has made your stay extra special they appreciate anything you would like to give them. You can give a bell boy in his hand or leave for housekeeping in your room, or add to your bill to be distributed. The hotel is divided in team and share tips so leaving it on your bill assures the staff all gets a little something.
What if there is anything that needs attending in my room? Please make a note of it at the restaurant reception
area and we will remedy any situation asap, if it is urgent speak with someone at the front desk.

Bike tour to Tulum Mayan Ruins: 2 hours
Experience the Mayan Ruins by bike 20 minutes each way. Enjoy a leisurely bike tour along the beach road to the magical Tulum ruins. Upon arriving we will have a guided walk through the Ruins. Included: Bike, entrance fees, and guided tour with a local historian
Tour to Gran Cenote: 2 hours
One of the best cenotes in the Riviera Maya is just a 15 minute drive away. A beautiful swimming spot to discover the underworld beautify of a cenote. Surrounded by jungle and wooden deck, it is a perfect place to relax and enjoy. Included: transportation, entrance fee, snorkel gear and guide.
Bike tour to Secret Cenote in the Mangroves: 2 hours
A 20 minute bike ride takes us to the entrance of the Sian Kaan reserve where we walk over a rickety bridge over the mangrove with extraordinary views and new perspective on the area. Kayak, snorkel and swim through this serene, private water or just relax on the stunning deck. Included : bikes, guide, entrance, and snack $45

Mayan Clay Ritual $45 usd per person in a group of 6 or more 3-6 $55 1-3 $65 This is a memorable experience that takes place on the beach and consists of four parts: an explanation, application, followed by a meditation as you stand under the sun , and then you bath in the sea to remove the clay. This ritual focuses on letting go of the old to make room for the new while at the same time gives your skin a deep cleansing that leaves you glowing from the inside out.
Mayan Temazcal $85 usd per person in a group of 6 or more For smaller groups please see the activity desk Temazcal, used in Mexico for centuries, is an ancient steam bath with curative and therapeutic benefits. Believed to balance and detoxify the body, mind and spirit, this ceremonial practice has been used to prepare people for special milestones in life or as a ritual to let go of anything that it is time to leave behind.

Casual chic Italian, fresh pasta, fish, shrimp A Tulum classic. (5 minute walk down the beach)
Arca:
Unique style of Mexican cuisine that draws on a broad palette of cultural influences on the jungle side of the road, with a focus on fine food, design and music. (5-8 minute taxi drive)
Gitano:
Mezcal Bar and Kitchen with a mix of dinner and dancing in the jungle. One of the hottest spots in Tulum for a night out on the town or a delicious dinner and great cocktails. ( 5-8 minute taxi drive)
Hartwood:
The most sought after restaurant in Tulum. You can take your chances and try to walk ink however most people bite the bullet and line up at 230 outside of the restaurant, to secure a reservation which start to be taken at 430 reservations. For larger parties we can assist with reservations. 5 -8 minute taxi drive)
Mateos:
A local casual favorite but on the beach. Smoothies, full bar, delicious food with a mixture of fresh fish, great tacos and many other local favorites. A great menu, great drinks an amazing sunset deck and also suitable for children as there are game tables. (3 minute Taxi drive away)
La Patrona:
One of the only authentic taco bars on the beach, with great fish, shrimp and beef tacos as well as vegan friendly taco with a homemade salsa bar and great cocktails. Great vibe and fast food, great for lunch or dinner.
Kitchen Table:
Wood burning open kitchen, fresh produce beautiful atmosphere built around the jungle without harming nature. Delicious drinks and amazing food.

What time is breakfast served?
Coffee is available from 6am, breakfast begins at 7:30am and continues until 10am.
If you have prepaid lunch and dinner you can select from the following • buffet of the day (when available) • our daily healthy special for lunch or dinner • if no buffet offered, you can select off the menu or ask for the specials of the day ** please let us know if you have any allergies, are vegetarian or if you have any special request.
All meals come with a drink of the day
Our dinners rotate some of our best dishes and come with a starter, followed by a delicious homemade soup followed by a main course, dessert and drink of the day. If you have a special request please ask.

Pool & Jacuzzi Pool
Please rinse off before swimming to remove sand and sunscreen and to help keep our pool nice and clean.
Jacuzzi The water takes about 30 minutes to heat and is turned on during designated times for groups or retreats. If you would like to request the jacuzzi be turned on please ask at the restaurant reception desk.
