Business of the Year Award

Presented to a company with great presence in the community, that has shown remarkable corporate culture that exemplifies excellent citizenship.

Frank Rewold & Sons NETWORK WITH US!

From the beginning, Frank Rewold’s carpentry and relationship skills conveyed facets of his future company’s distinct character. Since 1918, we have retained a people-focused, honest outlook that seems to escape larger construction companies today. To be sure, FRS constructs multi-million dollars of construction annually, but is by no means the largest contractor. Our projects express their own candidness and character -- these qualities are what make us Rewold.

Morning, afternoon, or evening - our monthly networking events are free with membership!

And we have so many more opportunities!

From ribbon cuttings, to annual signature events with key community leaders, to exclusive networking groups - You’ll find many opportunities with the Chamber.

It’s the fastest-growing infrared sauna and red-light therapy franchise in the U.S. The wellness company provides guests a modern-day experience of infrared (IR) sauna and red-light therapy (RLT). Their mantra is to ensure all guests leave feeling better than when they arrived. This mantra resonates personally with Stephanie as she empowers her team to take an active role in aiding quality guest experiences.

COMMUNITY AWARDS

Community Hero Award sponsored by

Presented to an individual who, through their generosity, has positively impacted the community or culture of the greater Rochester area.

Congratulations Mayor Bryan Barnett City of

Rochester Hills

For 18 years, Mayor Barnett has served the residents of Rochester Hills. Our community has always been defined by the way we respond when challenged and this year was no different. We look out for one another, support our nonprofits, live our values and seek to make a positive difference. Great residents and a great team make leading the preeminent place to live, work and raise your family truly enjoyable.

Nursing student Najae’ Ratcliff wanted compassion at the core of her career, and found that curriculum and community in Oakland University’s School of Nursing. From a young age, she’s been determined to become a labor and delivery nurse – a goal she passionately pursues. In the final stages before graduation, her education has transformed this passion into her eventual profession and has built confidence and knowledge to thrive in her career.

Community Collaboration Award sponsored by

Congratulations

Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library

The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library were formed in 1961 (as the Friends of the Woodward Memorial Public Library) and the statement of purpose at that time is the same as today. The Friends are a catalyst for change. In less than a decade, the Friends have moved the library board to hire a professionally trained librarian, raised the level of children’s services, and become an advocating voice within the greater community. The Friends advocacy for the library continues to this day and members consider themselves ambassadors for the library.

Community Collaboration Award sponsored by

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT sponsored by

Judge Julie Nicholson

Judge Nicholson was elected to the 52/3rd District Court in 1996 after being in private law practice for 10 years. Shortly after her election, she instituted the very successful Court in the Schools and Have to Choose programs within the 4 school districts inside the Court’s jurisdiction. She traveled to middle schools and high schools 1-2 times per month for 25 years to educate students about the consequences of illegal behavior. Judge Nicholson says, “I am so honored... It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to serve this community not only in a legal capacity but also as a community member. I am blessed to have met and worked with so many dedicated, passionate business people who live and work here. We are so fortunate to have a Chamber that cares about its members’ success. One thing I have learned over the last 30 years is that when you are involved in your community, everyone wins, especially you.”
