With his unparalleled virtuosity as a prolific singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, electric live performer and even fashion icon, Prince leaves behind a legacy of chart-topping and record-smashing success. His legions of fans worldwide still mourn the loss of his larger-than-life talent. Following our record-breaking auctions in February and September 2017, there was still an outpouring of passionate interest from our buyers for more Prince items. Collections KIM BERRY

As Prince’s hairstylist and member of his advance team during the 1990s and 2000s, she styled Prince’s hair for music videos such as “The Gold Experience,” “Most Beautiful Girl in the World” and “Musicology.” Kim toured with Prince and was responsible for setting up his personal table, where he could quickly choose from an assortment of jewelry and accessories; Prince often told her to keep some of these items as mementos.

ROB ‘CUBBY’ COLBY

Colby worked for Prince as an audio engineer from 19811988. He first met Prince during rehearsals in Minneapolis for the Controversy tour. Forming a strong bond during the 1999 and Purple Rain tours, Colby was hired full-time as front-of-house engineer for the Parade, Sign o’ the Times, and Lovesexy tours. He was in-house live engineer at Paisley Park Studios from 1984-1988, working on Prince’s world tours and live performances, award shows, after-hour gigs and parties.

HELEN HIATT

Helen was costume designer for Prince from 1985-1991, directing the design and management of wardrobe for him and his personnel, on music videos and photo shoots, and all his world tours during that period. Starting in the wardrobe dept. for the film “Purple Rain,” she was elevated to a higher role when Prince set up his own proper costume shop in 1985. In charge of everything relating to costuming at that time, she obtained a variety of wardrobe elements, handwritten notes and awards, now being offered for the first time.

ERIC LEEDS

A musician and saxophonist, Eric started working with Prince in the mid 80s when he was offered a spot in the band The Family. Leeds continued to work in the studio and onstage with Prince, including four worldwide tours and performances on Prince albums, including “Parade,” “Sign O’ The Times,” “Lovesexy” and “Batman.” In 1986, Prince created the group Madhouse to feature Eric’s saxophone and flute playing.

GWEN LEEDS

Gwen was Prince’s assistant tour manager for the legendary Purple Rain, Parade, Sign o’ the Times, and Lovesexy tours of the 1980s. The wife of longtime tour manager and Paisley Park Records president Alan Leeds, Gwen worked at Paisley Park from its opening in 1988 through 1990 before founding her own fashion styling business.

EILEEN LICITRI

Licitri began her career with Prince after receiving a phone call from Karen Krattinger, who was in desperate need of one more wardrobe person on the Purple Rain tour; Eileen “knew this was the beginning of something big.” Later, while working for Sheila E., she would interact more with Prince during his visits to Sheila: “That is when I got to experience his lighter side and sense of humor while hanging out in the dressing room with him.”

THERESE STOULIL

Therese was hired by PRN Productions as production coordinator in 1986 and spent the next decade working for Prince. When he moved into Paisley Park in 1987, her first project was cataloguing all recordings before filing them in the vault. On most mornings, she came to work to find a cassette on her desk, signaling her to type up the lyrics of a song he had recorded the night before. In 1989, she would become Prince’s personal assistant and handle all elements of his personal and professional life until 1996. In these positions, she had the privilege of listening to nearly everything Prince recorded from 1986–1996. In addition to working on hundreds of unreleased recordings, she worked on the Batman soundtrack, Graffiti Bridge, Sign o’ the Times, the Black Album, and Diamonds and Pearls.

MICHAEL VAN HUFFEL

Michael, an award-winning designer, creative director and animator, worked for Prince from the mid 1990s through 2000—first as a design assistant to Steve Parke, later becoming in-house artist/art director. Projects ranged from albums, tour merchandise, motion design for video and more. He was a key member of the visual team at Paisley Park, working closely with Prince. A number of the items featured in his collection were given to him by Prince.

JENNIFER WALTON

Walton began working with Prince in 1983 when she was hired as an assistant to Bob Cavallo and Steve Fargnoli, who managed Prince and produced several of his films. As Director of Creative Services, she continued her career with the management company while working on the Purple Rain tour through 1985, assisting in many facets of the film and the world tour. From 1986-1987, she assisted on several Prince projects, including the film “Under the Cherry Moon,” the Parade and Sign O’ The Times tours, and the video for the latter.


Early Minneapolis Beginnings For You, Dirty Mind (1978–1982)


4001 Prince ‘For You’ Album Still-sealed For You album (Warner Bros. BSK 3150), Prince’s 1978 debut. The sleeve prominently features the soon-to-be classic line on the reverse, “Produced, Arranged, Composed and Performed by Prince.” In fine condition, with a small discount cut to the top edge. A super early signature— “Prince R. Nelson, 12-18-78” 4002 Prince 1978 Signature Early vintage ink signature, “Prince R. Nelson, 12-18-78,” on a 8.5 x 5.75 segment cut from the close of a letter sent to American Artists, the company founded by Prince’s first manager Owen Husney. In fine condition, with a trimmed top edge, and two light horizontal mailing folds, one of which passes through the signature. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which features Prince’s typed return address: “Prince, 5215 France Ave. South. Edina Mn. 55435.” Prince lived at this address from the summer of 1978 until 1980, and had his first rudimentary home studio (essentially an 8-track recording unit) at the location. Also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Rockaway Records. At the time he signed this, Prince had released only one album—For You—which debuted eight months earlier in April 1978. Purple piano played by Prince

4003 Prince’s Personally-Played Piano An upright piano which was kept at the home of an early Prince insider and was personally played by Prince frequently throughout his career. The piano was originally picked up by the touring crew of Earth, Wind & Fire around 1978, and was delivered to the consignor’s home in Los Angeles (where Prince was living at the time) as a gift specifically for Prince. This was his favorite piano to play because he loved the distinctive ring-like sound it made when he played it. It was in Los Angeles that Prince most frequently played this piano—he spent many, many hours at these keys. He would wake up in the middle of the night, saying that God dropped songs on him that needed to be played then and there, no matter what. Even with a multitude of pianos at his disposal, this one was Prince’s favorite to play. The piano was painted pink when the consignor moved to Miami in the early 1990s, around the same time that Prince opened the ‘Glam Slam’ club. The piano was subsequently painted purple to match new decor. Though best known as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Prince was also an accomplished pianist—it was the first instrument he learned to play, taking after his father who was a piano player in a jazz band. Things would come full circle in Prince’s final concert series, the ‘Piano & A Microphone Tour’ of 2016, in which he reinterpreted his band-backed electric hits in an intimate setting as a solo pianist. The Toronto Star opened their review of his March 25th show: ‘It

probably comes as little surprise that Prince, the legendary singer and songwriter who is as prolific as he is enigmatic, is as big a monster on piano, technically speaking, as he is on guitar.’ As a purple piano played by the man himself, this is an outstanding piece of Prince history. 4004 Prince’s Pair of Auratone Speakers Pair of Auratone 5C Super-Sound-Cube speakers, serial numbers 732684 and 821305, which were in Prince’s room during his time living in Studio City, Los Angeles, California, and which he listened to music on frequently. Each speaker measures 6.5 x 6.5 x 5.5, and one has an “Avalon Attractions, Access All Areas” cloth badge affixed to the top. In overall very good to fine condition. The Auratone 5C was a surprisingly popular speaker amongst sound engineers in the 1970s and 1980s, despite a rather lo-fi sound quality—if a record sounded good on a Super Sound Cube, it would sound good anywhere. Extremely desirable 1979 check for $2500 4005 Prince Signed 1979 Check Northwestern National Bank check, 6 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Prince, “Prince Nelson,” payable to “Cash” for $2500, March 21, 1979. In fine condition, with an unobtrusive central vertical fold. In April, Prince would begin recording his second studio album, the self-titled Prince. Its lead single, ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover,’ which would be released in August, became Prince’s first major hit single. The consignor, who lived with Prince in Los Angeles, notes that they were at the Roxy one night and Prince left chasing after a girl, accidentally taking the keys to the car and house with him. “Prince R. Nelson” composes ‘Cool’

4009 Prince Signed Document for ‘Cool’ DS, signed twice, “Prince R. Nelson,” seven pages, 8.5 x 11, July 30, 1981. A “Standard Songwriter’s Contract” between Prince and Dez Dickerson for the song ‘Cool,’ in part: “Composer hereby sells, assigns and delivers…the original musical composition presently entitled ‘Cool’ (the ‘Composition’), the music of which was written by Prince R. Nelson and the words of which were written by Dez Dickerson, including the title, words and music thereof, all worldwide rights therein.” The contract goes on to outline standard terms and the royalties schedule. Signed at the conclusion twice by Prince—once on behalf of Tionna Music and once as the composer of the

song—and signed once by Dickerson, who adds his address. In fine condition, with the final (signed) page detached but present. From the collection of an early Prince insider. Dickerson, a guitarist and singer who was a member of Prince’s band The Revolution, co-wrote ‘Wild and Loose,’ ‘After Hi School,’ and ‘Cool’ for The Time, and also contributed vocals to Prince’s classics ‘Little Red Corvette’ and ‘1999.’ This song, ‘Cool,’ became the fourth track on The Time’s selftitled debut album in 1981, and was released as the album’s second single. Prince’s backing vocals are very apparent in the song, especially in the chorus. An outstanding and early twice-signed Prince songwriting document. Pre-certified REAL. Starting Bid $500

4010 Prince Handwritten Lyrics on Reverse of 1981 Concert Poster Highly unusual handwritten lyrics by Prince on the reverse of a rare 11 x 17 cardstock poster for a Prince and The Time concert at the Michigan Theatre in Jackson, Michigan, on September 3, 1981. Prince writes out lyrics from Quincy Jones’s 1981 song ‘The Dude,’ in part: “Don’t go messin’ with his walkin stik (Not the dude) Don’t you Double-Cross Him—He’s Super Slick—(He’s the Dude DaDaDaDaDaDaDaDa) I’m a Stone Cold

A track which features James Ingram and Michael Jackson, ‘The Dude’ melds funk, rap, and R&B with the fledgling music technologies of the 1980s to create a decidedly unique sound. This remarkable genre-blending music clearly influenced Prince, who would release the experimental Controversy in October 1981. Starting Bid $300

Prince’s backstage passes from his disastrous 1981 Rolling Stones openers in LA 4011 Prince’s Pair of 1981 Rolling Stones Backstage Passes Prince’s pair of cloth backstage passes for his performances as the opening act for the Rolling Stones at the L.A. Coliseum on October 9 and 11, 1981. One is triangular with a green-and-silver design, and is marked “LA 1, Prince”; the other is square and has a pink-and-silver design, marked “LA 2, Prince.” Both are affixed to a green cardstock 6.5 x 9.5 notebook cover, which has the printed text on the front filled in purple ink (it is unknown whether or not this doodling was done by Prince). In fine condition, with expected light wear. From the collection of an early Prince insider. In 1981, Prince was a relatively little-known musician with a single hit—’I Wanna Be Your Lover’—to his name. Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was a fan of the quirky upstart, and asked him to play as an opening act for their gargantuan concerts at the L.A. Coliseum in 1981—sold-out shows before an audience 94,000 strong. On October 9th, Prince took the stage in his typical flamboyant attire and was met by a barrage of insults and slurs from the crowd, followed by a fusillade of thrown food, cans, and bottles. After their third song, ‘Jack U Off,’ promoter Bill Graham came to the stage in a failed attempt to calm the audience. Prince and his band stopped playing halfway through their fourth song, ‘Uptown,’ and left the stage. Understandably frustrated and upset, Prince flew home to Minnesota and vowed to skip the second show. After a round of telephone calls from Mick Jagger and his manager, Prince reluctantly returned to Los Angeles for the show on October 11th— only to be met by another round of insults and objects. This time, though, Prince and his band persevered and finished their five-song set, which appropriately closed with a rendition of ‘Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?’ Starting Bid $200

In the upper right, he writes an address and phone number: “614/272-8032, 2210 Union, Columbus, Ohio, 43223.” In the lower left, he writes: “Soul Teen, Hunk of the Month.” In fine condition. Draft of the lyrics for ‘I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man’ 4013 Prince Handwritten Lyrics for ‘I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man’ Handwritten draft of lyrics for ‘I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man’ entirely in Prince’s hand, one page on the reverse of a sheet printed with “Prince” in four different fonts, 9 x 12, no date. The lyrics begin, in part: “It was only last June when her old man ran away / She couldn’t stop crying cause she knew he was gone to stay / It was 10:35 on a lonely Friday Night. / That was when I first saw her, ooh, she was lookin’ alright. / I asked if she wanted to dance and she said that all she / wanted was a good man and she wanted to know if I thought / I was qualified, and I said, / Baby don’t waste your time. I know what’s on your mind. / I may be qualified for a one-night stand but I could never / take the place of your man.” These lyrics close with a slightly revised version of the chorus: “Baby stop wasting your time. I know what’s / on your mind, I won’t be satisfied with a one-night / stand and I could never take the place of your man, but I’ll try, / but I’ll sure as hell try.” In fine condition, with a short tear to the right edge touching one word. From the collection of an early Prince insider. While initial tracking for ‘I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man’ took place at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in the spring–summer of 1982, the song was not released until 1987 when it was featured on Prince’s ninth album, Sign o’ the Times. These lyrics boast a few substantive differences from the track as released: namely, the line “That was when I first saw her” in the first verse was replaced with ‘She was standin’ by the bar,’ and the second version of the chorus—with “but I’ll try, / but I’ll sure as hell try”—went unused. Today, ‘I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man’ is considered one of Prince’s classic tunes and it has been covered by numerous artists. Prince’s custom-made purple pants 4014 Prince’s PersonallyOwned and -Worn Pair of Purple Pants Prince’s personallyowned and -worn pur ple gr os gr ai n pants from circa 1982–1985. The pants are custommade with a tiny 25˝ waist, 26.5˝ inseam, and overall length of 38˝. They are of a fine quality and intricately detailed, with even the concealed zipper pull painted purple (some now chipped off). These pants are identical in color and fabric to the jacket Prince wore during a photo session with legendary photographer Richard Avedon on December 22, 1982. They were obtained after being left behind by his bodyguard at a Minnesota dry cleaner, and are accompanied by a letter of provenance, in part: “In 1985 Charles Huntsberry dropped off several articles of clothing to be cleaned at One Hour Martinizing on 9th Avenue North in Hopkins, MN…The articles were never picked up; many attempts were made to contact Charles to no avail. Charles (Big Chick) Huntsberry did leave Prince’s employ sometime in 1985. This may be the reason the clothing was never claimed…One Hour Martinizing policy stated after one year, unclaimed clothing is to be donated or discarded. At this time my sister…was employed part time at the dry cleaners…Waiting the appropriate one year time period, the pants were given to me by my sister.” Also includes a copy of Rolling Stone’s Prince memorial issue featuring the photo of him in the matching jacket, and a letter of authenticity from Jeff Gold, the owner of Recordmecca and a former executive vice president/general manager of Warner Bros. Records, who worked closely with Prince during the 1990’s, and art directed numerous album covers for him, including ‘Diamonds & Pearls,’ ’Love Symbol,’ and ‘The Hits/ The B-Sides.’ It is not known if Prince wore these pants in the Avedon photo shoot, as the photographer destroyed the negatives he didn’t deem worthy of use, and consequently, no record of whether Prince wore these pants at the Avedon photo shoot exists. One page reads, in full: “Traffic cop in middle of street directing traffic, ‘What the fuck can he do, chase me?’ Cop pulls out gun, fires one shot (cut to reaction—car), Back to cop putting gun in holster.” The second page simply reads, “Traffic cop.” In fine condition. In part: “North Arm to 19—Right, 19 changes into 6—all the way to 12… Next to Cooper Theatre. Journey Back, West 12 all through town sign Stubbs Bay Road—pass sign look for turn off… drive around golf course, on top of the hill, look for house on left, 680. BSK 3366), which names “Steve Fargnoli” in the booking credit on the reverse, and states, “All compositions published by Ecnirp Music,” distinguishing it as the first pressing. In fine condition, with slight edgewear. Released in 1979 as Prince’s second studio album, this selftitled record features the hits ‘Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?,’ ‘Sexy Dancer,’ and ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover.’ From the collection of an early Prince insider. Still-sealed Prince album (Warner Bros. BSK 3366), bearing a retailer’s discount sticker on the front of the original shrinkwrap. This is the second pressing, which lacks Steve Fargnoli’s name in the booking credit on the reverse. In fine condition, with a small discount cut to the top edge. Prince performing with similar microphone from the Purple Rain time period. 4044 Prince’s Stage-Used Purple Rain Tour Microphone Prince’s stage-used Sennheiser 431MD vocal microphone from the second half of the 1984–85 Purple Rain Tour, last used for the iconic tour’s final concert on April 7, 1985, at the Miami Orange Bowl (advertised as the ‘Purple Bowl’ for that show). The microphone is taped to a replacement holder using electrical tape, done in the same manner as it was during the tour. In fine condition. From the collection of Rob ‘Cubby’ Colby and accompanied by a letter of provenance. Colby worked for Prince as an audio engineer from 1981 through 1988, as a monitor mixer and front-of-house engineer on tour, and as an audio tech/ music mixer in studio at the artist’s own Paisley Park. As part of Cubby’s day-to-day mixing duties, he was trusted by Prince to be the one that set the mic stand height and position of the microphone prior to every sound check and show. He would also secure the microphone with electrical tape, ensuring that it would not loosen or fall during Prince’s crazy dance moves, many of which he performed while holding a guitar.

Prince’s epic 98-show Purple Rain Tour brought him all around North America between November 4, 1984, and April 7, 1985. The massive shows were technical marvels, complete with fiber optics, lasers, fog machines, and Prince’s memorable stage theatrics. Prince paid meticulous attention to detail, and sound checks were typically three hours long. By the time Prince and the Revolution rolled into Miami’s ‘Purple Bowl’ on Easter Sunday, a throng of 55,000 concertgoers were eager to hear concert staples like opener ‘Let’s Go Crazy,’ ‘Baby, I’m a Star,’ and ‘Purple Rain,’ which had evolved into a nearly 30-minute-long spectacle. Further intrigue was added when, only five days earlier on April 5th, Prince’s manager Steve Fargnoli announced that the musician was planning on retiring from live performances following the tour, with Prince cryptically explaining: ‘I’m going to look for the ladder. Sometimes it snows in April.’ The news made the ‘Purple Bowl’ the most coveted ticket of the tour, and led many in attendance to believe that they were watching Prince perform for the final time—a reported 35 people were treated at first-aid stations for fainting. It was signed when Prince visited Warner Brothers Records in Burbank to preview what I believe was the Around the World in a Day album. I was in 8th grade at the time so I’m not too sure what songs were playing—I just knew it was new Prince music. I was invited there because my friend’s mom worked there and got us in. Prince signed several items for us and other WB employees. He arrived in a purple limo. Big Chick was with him and I remember when Prince left the building he was carrying a single carnation. He signed the poster for me when he was sitting in the purple limo… I remember asking him when he was leaving the building and he said ‘wait until I get to the car’ in his low unforgettable voice.” An extraordinary piece, this is the first signed Purple Rain poster that we have encountered. While sorting through countless photos proposed for record sleeves, program books, promotion and advertising, Prince would habitually hand write notes designating his opinions and choices.” The handwriting found on the reverse of this photo is indicative of Prince’s desire to be involved in the entire creative process; although another similar photo was selected for the Purple Rain tour book, this image, as Prince’s notations suggest, was likely intended to be used for a postcard—however, we have found no instance in which it was actually published. 1984 American Video Awards “Best Soul Video” trophy for “When Doves Cry” 4049 Prince 1984 American Video Award for ‘When Doves Cry’ A 1984 American Video Awards “Best Soul Video” trophy presented to Prince for his hit ‘When Doves Cry,’ comprising three metal statuettes in the form of the letters “AVA” set upon a black wooden base, which bears an engraved plaque on the front: “American Video Award, 1984, Best Soul Video, ‘When Doves Cry,’ Prince.” In very good to fine condition, with general wear to the base, and some scuffing and tarnishing to the metal letter statuettes, which are also somewhat loose. Although Prince did not show up to the event, this trophy made its way into his possession, and he subsequently gifted it to one of his close associates. The American Video Awards, which existed from 1983 to 1987, was an annual music video award show taped and distributed for television. The Third Annual American Video Awards, which honored videos released throughout 1984, took place on April 3, 1985, hosted by Casey Kasem, Herbie Hancock, and Lisa Hartman. In addition to Prince’s victory for ‘When Doves Cry,’ notable awards included “Best Pop Video” for Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time,’ and “Best Long Form Video” and “Best Home Video” for Michael Jackson’s ‘The Making of Thriller.’ ‘When Doves Cry,’ considered a staple of Prince’s vast repertoire, was released as the lead single from his blockbuster Purple Rain album and topped the charts for five weeks to become his first American number one hit. The iconic video, directed by Prince himself, was released on MTV in June 1994, and famously opens with a scene of white doves emerging from behind ornate double doors to reveal Prince in a steamy bathtub. In addition to receiving this 1984 American Video Awards “Best Soul Video” award, it was nominated for “Best Choreography” at the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards. Starting Bid $300

Meticulous band and crew itineraries for the 1984-1985 Purple Rain Tour 4057 Prince Purple Rain Tour Itineraries Incredible pairing of band and crew itineraries for the 1984-1985 Purple Rain tour belonging to Prince’s longtime personal assistant who served as the production coordinator for the Purple Rain Tour. The first is the “Alan Leeds Group” band itinerary, 25 total pages, 8.5 x 11, beginning on November 3, 1984, at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan, and ending April 8, 1985, in Miami, Florida, with typed text below: “The Purple Heart Survival Ceremonies, May U Live 2 see The Dawn!!!” The itinerary lists arrival and departure times, concert dates, hotel and venue locations, and flight and travel arrangements, and is annotated and emended in pencil and ballpoint, with the most significant tour changes occurring in mid-to-late January 1985, with the January 17 show at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis crossed out and the subsequent next two hotels changed as a result. The last six pages of the itinerary are on PRN Productions letterhead, dated March 1, 1985, with subject line, “Revised itinerary—Leeds group,” and note: “Contrary to rumors, it now appears this tour will conclude in Florida on or about April 7 (Easter Sunday). The final series of dates are currently in negotiation and will be announced once finalized and approved.” The second is the “Mugsy’s Group” crew travel itinerary, 16 total pages, 8.5 x 11, beginning on November 17, 1984, with a flight to Largo, Maryland, and ending on April 7, 1985, at Miami’s Orange Bowl, with typed text below: “Is This The End.?.?.?.?…” Like the first itinerary, this example lists standard times, dates, and accommodation details, but features considerably more handwritten notations and emendations, with the month of January again proving a logistical difficulty given the rescheduling of the Indianapolis concert. The bulk of the notations consist of contact names and numbers for various production and promotion firms, with several of the dates also bearing early morning concert call times for the crew; on the first night of the tour’s five-show stop at Atlanta’s Omni Coliseum, crew call times for setup are listed as follows: “1A—Rigg, 3A—Roof, 7A—Stage, 8:30A—Lights, 9:A—Ward, 10.A—Sound, 11:30—Band Crew/Props.” Also included are two 8.5 x 11 calendar sheets, listing rehearsal and setup times for band and crew from September 26 to December 3, 1984; and two printouts listing Purple Rain tour dates from November 4, 1984, until April 7, 1985. Prince rocks the 1985 Grammy Awards 4072 Prince 1985 Grammy Awards Cue Sheet Original stapled cue sheet for the 27th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 26, 1985, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, 15 pages, 8.5 x 11. The document was originally distributed to cast and crew of the telecast during rehearsals. The cue sheet includes a minute-by-minute description of each segment, with the first 10 pages listing the event’s total 106 sequences, which consist of breaks and commercials, introductions, performances, and awards. Prince is listed on page 9 with sequences 92–95, which notes the appearance of Mike Melvoin and his subsequent introduction of Prince and The Revolution and their performance of ‘Baby, I’m a Star.’ The last sheet in the ‘Call Times’ section notes Prince’s time at 11:00 a.m. In fine condition, with a light vertical fold. 4087 Prince ‘Crystal Ball’ Analog Cassettes Rare group of three analog cassette tapes of the unreleased Crystal Ball album which were given to Prince’s band members as reference materials for rehearsals, from the collection of his saxophonist Eric Leeds. The tapes are TDK SA-X audio cassettes, and all are simply labeled “Camille” in type. They are housed in individual cases with Bernie Grundman Mastering inserts, filled out in type with track listings. The first reads: “Side 1: 1. Rebirth Of The Flesh, 2. Play In The Sunshine, 3. Award retains its original backing with a Fitzgerald Hartley Marketing label, but it has opened and re-stapled to the frame. An impromptu interview with The Electrifying Mojo 4090 Prince Interview CD Extremely rare British CD containing the complete 16-minute phone interview between Prince and Detroit disc jockey The Electrifying Mojo, which occurred following Prince’s birthday concert at Detroit’s Cobo Hall on June 7, 1986. The CD artwork features an attractive image of Prince, and the CD is in fine working order. Before his 1986 birthday show, Prince placed an unexpected call to Charles Johnson, also known as The Electrifying Mojo, a Detroit disc jockey at WHYT who is credited with introducing Prince’s music to the area airwaves. During the interview, Prince paid tribute to his Detroit fan base and informed Johnson about his upcoming film, Under the Cherry Moon. He also spoke about his motives for making music and revealed that he had over 300 finished unreleased songs in his vault. “‘Under the Cherry Moon,’ by Prince”—an eight-page rough draft for the opening scenes 4106 Prince’s ‘Under the Cherry Moon’ Handwritten Script Notebook Fantastic 8 x 10.5 Mead college-ruled notebook containing eight single-sided pages of Prince’s handwritten working script for the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon, plus a handwritten and signed title page. The red notebook cover is marked in Prince’s hand in black ink, “Under the Cherry Moon,” and is followed by the title page, neatly written and signed by Prince in pencil: “’Under the Cherry Moon,’ by Prince.” Prince’s draft of the screenplay begins on the next page, headed “Under the Cherry Moon.” It begins with the very opening of the film: “Camera opens on strange painting of a woman with no facial features, pulls back 2 reveal other painting, a woman posing half-dressed, Camera pans slowly. ‘Christopher, how much longer, my neck’s getting tired?’ ‘13 minutes more.’ ‘U said that 30 minutes ago. (reaction shot) Guess what Katy told me u did last night.’ ‘I haven’t the faintest guess.’ ‘She told me that u put your hand between her legs. (reaction shot of him—unaffected) Did u?’ ‘I don’t remember.’ (screaming) ‘What do mean u don’t remember Did u or didn’t u…’” They bicker back and forth a bit, then Christopher says: “’Can’t we just have fun (he reaches 4 drink. Huh? (takes a sip) (She says yes over & over) I mean… (He strokes her hair & looks at her camera pullback) Can’t we just have fun? (camera pull back more as they sit on floor hugging, rocking, she cries. TITLES, music.” Later, in a restaurant scene, the dialogue references the film’s title: “’Hey, look over there.’ (They see a young woman obviously wealthy from the gold on her person. The woman is attractive… dark, mysterious. She has 2 friends with her. Much older.) ‘My God, she’s wonderful. That’s the one.’ ‘The one?’ ‘The one in the song. Under the Cherry Moon, ‘A kiss is so much sweeter.’ I always thought that one day I would meet someone and I would have 2 have that someone and that’s what it says in the song. A kiss is so much sweeter under the cherry moon. Wait here. Cover me,’ he says eyes glued 2 this stranger. We watch from a distance as he walks 2 her. Tricky pays the check. Close-up

on Christopher. ‘Hi,’ says he. ‘Hello,’ says she. ‘I’d very much like 2 paint your picture.’” Like the previously described scene, this does not make it into the final version of the movie. After a “Fade 2 Black” on the last page of the script, there is another page with a single line in Prince’s hand from the lyrics for ‘Temptation’: “Workin’ my body with a cool hot flash of animal lust.” The remaining pages are blank, with the exception of brief a note written to Prince about a birthday gift of champagne. In fine condition, with creasing to cover and bits of staining to the first three pages. From the collection of an early Prince insider. Unlike the Under the Cherry Moon notebook we previously sold, this example is very much a rough draft—it offers brainstormed dialogue and direction, and is not organized in the more formal screenplay format (for example, multiple characters’ lines of dialogue run together without denoting who says what). Very little of what is written here seems to have made it into the final film, and it sets up “Katy” and “Jill” as the potential love interests opposite Christopher and Tricky. Although “Katy” plays a small part in Under the Cherry Moon, “Jill” is nowhere to be found. Christopher Tracy is also introduced as a painter, which does not come up in the film. Needless to say, this is a tremendously interesting piece that may very well be Prince’s first conception of Under the Cherry Moon put to paper. It offers extraordinary insight into his creative process, and exists as the cornerstone upon which Under the Cherry Moon was built. Pre-certified REAL. Starting Bid $2500

Acetate test pressings are made of a material much more fragile than the vinyl used for production records, and they are made in extremely limited qualities. After the breakup of her band Missing Persons, Bozzio signed onto Prince’s Paisley Park label as a solo artist. The disc is a verbatim representation of the final album as released. The Black Album—a tremendously rare still-sealed example

4128 Prince The Black Album Incredibly rare original 1987 U.S. first pressing of The Black Album (Warner Bros. 1-25677) factory sealed in its original shrinkwrap, complete with affixed peach-and-black sticker on the front, “Explicit Lyrics, Parental Advisory, (1-25677),” and barcode/copyright information sticker on the back. This is the last of five sealed copies of The Black Album recently discovered in the collection of a former Warner Bros. Records executive. Prior to that discovery, only three copies of the original 1987 U.S. pressing had surfaced. The discovery of these albums became an international news story, covered by Rolling Stone, Spin, Vibe, and news outlets around the world. In mint condition. The Black album, also known as The Funk Bible, was originally intended to be released on December 8, 1987, with an entirely black sleeve and no printed title or song credits. A week before its release date, Prince had the album withdrawn after having a spiritual experience that convinced him the album was ‘evil.’ Warner Bros. worked extremely hard to destroy all of the 500,000 copies that had been pressed—very few survived, making extant examples among the rarest records in the world. The Black Album was later released as a limited edition CD and cassette by Warner Bros. in 1994, and then digitally via Tidal in 2016—however, no vinyl version of the album was ever commercially released.

Includes a detailed letter of authenticity from Jeff Gold, the owner of Recordmecca and a former executive vice president/ general manager of Warner Bros. Records, who worked closely with Prince during the 1990s, and art directed numerous album covers for him, including ‘Diamonds & Pearls,’ ’Love Symbol,’ and ‘The Hits/The B-Sides.’ He writes, in part: “This example is one of five sealed copies discovered in December 2017, in the collection of a former Warner Bros. Records executive who worked on The Black Album. The executive’s daughter had purchased her first turntable and asked her parents to send her some albums. Their record collection had been boxed up in a closet for more than 25 years, and while searching for records that might interest their daughter, they stumbled upon two never-opened Warner Bros. Records mailers. Expecting to find some promo albums inside, they opened these for the first time and discovered five perfect, sealed copies of The Black Album. These had been sent to the executive in December 1987 when the albums were ordered destroyed, and for 30 years, the two mailers had sat unopened among their other boxed up vinyl. After opening one copy and confirming it was a genuine 1987 first pressing, they contacted me, a friend and former Warner Bros. colleague. The family decided to keep the open copy, but sell the remaining copies through Recordmecca. After Rolling Stone magazine wrote an article about the discovery, the story went viral, and the three sealed copies for sale were sold within 24 hours. Prince’s 1989 Lovesexy Tour of Japan, as recorded from the sound console 4135 Prince Group of (6) Lovesexy Tour DAT Tapes Collection of six one-of-a-kind original Sony digital audio tapes (DAT) of Prince’s concerts in Japan at the end of his Lovesexy World Tour in February 1989. These high-grade professional recordings were made directly from the sound console and are playable on any DAT machine; they have also been digitized as WAV files on a USB drive for ease of listening. The digitization was done strictly for this auction, and these tapes have not been otherwise reproduced, duplicated, or disseminated. Peyton Scott Russell Minneapolis-based graffiti artist Peyton Scott Russell first met Prince during the 1990s, and was given the opportunity to exhibit his work at Prince’s Glam Slam nightclub beginning in 1993. In 1996, Peyton was commissioned to help redecorate Paisley Park for Prince’s 1996 wedding to Mayte Garcia. Peyton’s impressive large-format prints were designed specifically to stand out on the walls of the Glam Slam club, and offer a fusion of Warholesque technique with a distinctly 90s aesthetic.

Art Made for Glam Slam Night Club Limited edition 44 x 59 screenprint diptych by Peyton Scott Russell, entitled ‘Grey is My Nationality,’ numbered 3/5, signed in the lower border in pencil by the artist, “Peyton,” and marked with a copyright date of 1995. Prince’s hand-edited second draft of Graffiti Bridge 4155 Prince Graffiti Bridge Script with Handwritten Notes Original hand-edited second draft script for the 1990 film Graffiti Bridge, 35 pages, 8.5 x 11, no date but circa early October 1987. The script features numerous handwritten notations and emendations made by Prince in black ballpoint, with pages 1, 13, 14, and 29 representing the most heavily annotated (26 script pages feature Prince’s handwriting). On the first page, Prince adds the opening: “EXT.—‘The Meeting Ground’—consisting of junk, trash, garbage and a fire. A sign hangs above the ground. It says: [‘Welcome home, Ruthie Washington’].” Prince adds notes signaling the entrance or mood of music to several scenes, including: “(Camille appears guitar in hand, deep in thought.) (Music cue. A blue wash engulfs the stage) (New music cue song slows in tempo, key change)” on page 1; “the melody is slow & melancholy” on page 11, referring to a scene in which Camille plays the piano; and “(slow grindin’ number) on page 16, which leads into a rendition of the song ‘Crucial,’ which never made the final version of the film; coincidentally, Prince wrote ‘Crucial’ back in 1986 with the intent of using it for his abandoned film project The Dawn. In fine condition. From the collection of Prince’s former assistant and accompanied by a letter of provenance. In mid-September of 1987, Prince finished his first script for a musical film project entitled Graffiti Bridge, which featured himself in the lead role as Camille, and costarred Madonna as his former flame, Ruthie Washington. In keeping with his vision of “a musical fantasy shot on theatrical sets,” Prince planned to cast several of his own band members in the film, with these notes mentioning several of their character names—Atlanta Bliss as Joshua, Eric Leeds as Sax, Cat Glover as Vienna, Greg Brooks as Gruff, and Wally Safford as Puff. In mid-October, a brief three-day script conference with Madonna proved disastrous, with the singer-actress publicly ridiculing the script and dismissing any potential collaboration. As a result, the original Graffiti Bridge script was abandoned and the project placed on hiatus until 1989. Graffiti Bridge continued to have script problems and underwent several revisions before a screenplay was finalized on February 7, 1990; the script alterations effectively made the film a quasi-sequel to Purple Rain. Although the film earned negative reviews and poor box-office totals, the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack was regarded highly and reached gold sales figures in both the UK and America. Starting Bid $500

Amazing purple high-heeled boots worn by Prince 4167 Prince’s Personally-Owned and Stage-Worn Purple Boots Prince’s personally-owned and -worn purple custom-made high-heeled shoes, featuring a black leather interior and purple satin exterior. The zippers on the sides are decorated with large silver ‘love symbol’ charms. The black insoles are stamped “The City Cobbler, Handmade Shoes,” and the rubber soles are marked “Universal Sole, Phillips, Mens.” These boots were clearly extensively worn by the iconic musician—in addition to having been re-soled, they have reinforcement brackets attached between the sole and heel. In very good to fine condition, with general wear including stains, scuffs, and small tears to fabric, all evidence of considerable use. Prince can be seen wearing this exact type of purple boot in numerous photographs from the 1990s. Includes a letter of authenticity from Jeff Gold, the owner of Recordmecca and a former executive vice president/general manager of Warner Bros. Records, who worked closely with Prince during the 1990s, and art directed numerous album covers for him, including ‘Diamonds & Pearls,’ ’Love Symbol,’ and ‘The Hits/The B-Sides.’ He writes, in part: “This letter is to authenticate a pair of custom made purple fabric high heel shoes owned and worn onstage and during photo shoots by Prince. Prince’s response to Tom Moon’s critical review of his album Come, which had been published in Rolling Stone on September 8, 1994. In full: “There is joy in repetition if one looks 4 joy. There can also be tension & discord. It’s all up 2 the beholder. Every note—be it voice or instrument, every sound—be it human or inhuman is produced according 2 the way the producer feels. Many things contribute 2 that feeling. The climate, the time of day, the day itself. Dance music seems 2 find it’s way into the studio during the weekend. The moon, the stars, everything plays a part. And there are no accidents. Tears are more believable when u can’t hold them back. Here—music is made out of necessity. It’s a fact a life. In commenting or analyzing his own work, Prince invariably adopted his Camille mask, preferring to speak about his work in the third-person. A Philadelphia-based music writer and critic, Tom Moon had been an outspoken fan and supporter of Prince’s career, so his negative 1994 review probably came as a surprise. One can read Prince’s response as overtly defensive, but Prince always felt that the basic concept of music criticism was faulty—that music, be it his or Camille’s, was too personal for others to judge beyond whether one personally enjoyed it or not. So, one can just as easily read his letter to Moon as an explanation of his feelings towards the writing of musicologists rather than a defense of his own work. It also lends enormous insight into his creative process in the studio, and reveals some of his innermost thoughts on the conception of an album. A truly significant, remarkable piece. Headed “Shot List—(as compiled by the editors),” Prince describes 17 different shots from the film. The list reads, in part: “1. The room—various pieces in and about the room 2 establish Nona’s character. 2. Insert of main ad—could u be the most beautiful girl (shoot various sizes and also show page just flipping 2 the ad). 3. The telephone (all the different angles & sizes). Vanessa should have a phone number that Nona keeps calling thruout the night. Shoot some starting on phone then panning up 2 Nona’s face 4 various reactions…4. Nona dancing or reacting 2 every song. (We can never have enough footage. The Beautiful Experience is a 70-minute film that premiered on the British Sky One television channel in April 1994. The film mixes live footage from a Paisley Park concert on February 13, 1994, with video clips of several new songs including ‘Papa,’ ‘Come,’ ‘Race,’ ‘Pheromone,’ ‘Loose!,’ and a ten-minute version of ‘The Most Beautiful Girl In The World’—some of these tracks are referenced in Prince’s handwritten list. The movie also includes a number of conceptual vignettes starring Nona Gaye in a story arc that follows her transformation from an alienated woman with a negative self-image into a fully realized human being who is aware of her self-worth and beauty. In addition to the fantastic handwritten list that showcases Prince’s abilities as a visual creator, the videotape is desirable in itself—The Beautiful Experience was never broadcast in the United States, and it is therefore extremely difficult to find. Worn on the night of his Paisley Park show for the Mayor of Minneapolis 4202 Prince’s Personally-Worn Mesh Shirt Prince’s personally-worn black mesh cropped shirt decorated with black tassels along the sleeves, worn on the same night of his private performance party for Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton on January 14, 1995. In fine condition. From the collection of Prince’s assistant Therese Stoulil and accompanied by a letter of provenance; she does not recall whether he wore this top during the actual performance, later on in the evening, or to an after party. Also accompanied by a letter from Mayor Belton to Stoulil dated January 18, 1995, in part: “I just wanted to thank you personally for all of the assistance you provided my staff and volunteers to make last Saturday evening a success. I wanted to let you know that I have received many comments from people of the wonderful time they had at Paisley Park and that the staff was very courteous. I think this is a reflection upon you and your boss.” Belton served as mayor of Minneapolis from 1994 through 2001, and Prince played a few fundraising gigs to support her campaign. The cassette is labeled “Proof Cassette - Zomax Optical Media,” and is filled out by hand, “Customer: Paisley Park, Title: The Versace Experience.” This is the proof which was personally approved by Prince for production. The case has the insert reading, “The Versace Experience - Prelude 2 Gold.” In fine condition. From the collection of Prince’s assistant Therese Stoulil and accompanied by a letter of provenance. Stoulil notes: “The Versace Fashion show was in two days. I had just received this test pressing of the cassette. Prince was literally just leaving his house for the airport and stopped by Paisley Park to grab the tape. He called from the limo with his approval and the replicator ran the order overnight and the next day we put the finished cassettes on a direct flight to Paris to be picked up by Versace’s representatives.” The promotional copies of ‘The Versace Experience: Prelude 2 Gold’ given away during the Paris Fashion Week are extremely rare on their own, and are among the most sought-after and valuable cassette tapes ever produced. The tape was mostly used as a promotional tool for Prince’s upcoming album The Gold Experience, and featured tracks edited and remixed specifically for this promo—some of which were never released anywhere else. As the test pressing of this desirable cassette, which was personally approved by Prince, this is an absolutely remarkable item and almost certainly the rarest Prince cassette tape to ever appear on the market. One-of-a-kind full package CD mockup artwork dating from the Emancipation era, designed, hand-made—drawn, written and glued together—by Prince and presented as a gift to Michael Van Huffel, the in-house artist/art director at the time at Paisley Park. The full package consists of a CD jewel case and the accompanying mockup inserts. The front cover depicts colorful digital artwork of Prince with his wrists shackled, and the word ‘Emancipation’ spelled backwards and descending from clouds broken by the sun; affixed to the lower right is a large cutout hand in beckoning motion, and both the symbol on the shaved side of Prince’s head and word “slave” on his cheek annotated in red ink; the reverse of the front cover bears an affixed circular close-up image of Prince’s mouth, with an array of hand-drawn intricate ink and felt tip designs and patterns filled in and decorating the open edges. The artwork for the inner tray consists of a magazine image of the sun concealed by clouds over the ocean, as well as various other magazine clippings with matching color pattern; and the back cover design is a clipped color image of Prince’s iconic symbol, with “NPG Records” and “Unfinished Demos, 1995 NPG Music Publishing” labels affixed to lower right corner; Prince has added a copyright notice, the album title, and an early configuration for the 10-song track listing in black ink,

An award-winning designer, creative director, and motion design specialist, Michael Van Huffel designed advertisements and album artwork for the Paisley Park and NPG Records art department. According to Van Huffel, the Emancipation artwork was presented to him by Prince’s future wife Mayte Garcia, who simply said, ‘He wants you to have this.’ Believing it to be a conceptual guideline for an upcoming project, Van Huffel called Prince’s assistant Therese Stoulil. She confirmed that Prince had ‘sent an assistant out at night for markers and glue, and cut up a bunch of really expensive coffee-table photo books,’ and that the CD was, in fact, a present. Prince himself allayed any lingering doubts when he arrived in Van Huffel’s office, calmly and tersely stating: ‘It’s for you.’ (The story behind this item is featured in the bestselling book Prince: Stories from the Purple Underground). Although the original ‘Fall 1995’ configuration of the songs Prince included with the full package is not present, Van Huffel has supplanted it with his own transferred CD-R copy—a tracklist and mixes immensely unique in their own right. A tremendously desirable piece of original Prince artwork relating to his landmark Emancipation album, a recording that represents Prince’s long sought-after release from his nearly two-decade-long contract with Warner Bros. Issued by tour organizer Willie Donwell, the packet concerns all pertinent production details relating to setup and organization of a Prince concert, including: stage dimensions, barricade, F.O.H. mix position, floor chairs, parking, security/peer type, spotlights, sound check, recording policy, production office, runners, towels, matting, climate control, cleaning supplies, dressing rooms, cash requests, and box office staff day of show. The rider also shows ‘symbol’ images of how the marquee and tickets must appear, and includes comments and additional details on media and press merchandizing, hospitality, safety and security, and catering. The authorized representative of any corporate Bidder who is present at the sale shall provide RR Auction or its agent, prior to the commencement of the bidding (or at the time of registration), with a statement signed by a principal, director or officer that they he or she personally and unconditionally guarantees any payment due RR Auction. RR Auction may at its sole and absolute discretion, make loans or advances to Consignors and/or prospective Bidders. In the event of a successful challenge to the title to any goods purchased pursuant to these Conditions of Sale and the exclusive remedies provided herein, RR Auction agrees to reimburse any Bidder in an amount equal to the successful bid price actually paid by Bidder at auction plus any Buyer’s Premium actually paid, in full and complete satisfaction of all claims, which once tendered by RR Auction, relieves and releases RR Auction from any responsibility whatsoever to the Bidder, even if the instrument is not cashed or is returned. Bidding Options: Non-Internet bids (including but not limited to in-person, facsimile, phone and mail bids) are treated similarly to floor bids in that they must be on-increment. Any in-person, facsimile, phone, or mail bids that do not conform to a full increment will be rounded up or down to the nearest full increment and this revised amount will be considered Bidder’s high bid. When identical mail or facsimile bids are submitted, preference is given to the first received. To ensure the greatest accuracy, written bids should be entered on the standard printed bid sheet and be received at RR Auction’s place of business at least twenty-four (24) hours before the Auction start. RR Auction is not responsible for executing mail bids or facsimile bids received on or after the day the first lot is sold, nor Internet bids submitted after the published closing time; nor is RR Auction responsible for proper execution of bids submitted by telephone, mail, facsimile, e-mail, Internet, or in person once the Auction begins. In all Auctions, bids on an item must raise the current high bid by at least 10%, or as specified on a per-Auction basis. Bids will be accepted in whole dollar amounts only. No “buy” or “unlimited” bids will be accepted. In a live sale, bids on an item can change at the discretion of RR Auction. RR Auction reserves the right to accept or decline any bid. Bids must be for an entire lot and each lot constitutes a separate sale. All bids are per lot unless otherwise announced. Live auction lots will be sold in their numbered sequence unless RR Auction directs otherwise. It is unlawful and illegal for Bidders to collude, pool, or agree with another Bidder to pay less than the fair value for lot(s). For live auctions, RR Auction will have final discretion in the event that any dispute should arise between Bidders. RR Auction will determine the successful Bidder, cancel the sale, or re-offer and resell the lot or lots in dispute. RR Auction will have final discretion to resolve any disputes arising after the sale and in online auctions. If any dispute arises, RR Auction’s sale record is conclusive. Payment: Subject to fulfillment of all of the Conditions of Sale set forth herein, upon the sooner of (1) the passing of title to the offered lot pursuant to these Conditions of Sale, or (2) possession of the offered lot by the Bidder, Bidder thereupon (a) assumes full risk and responsibil-

ity (including without limitation, liability for or damage to frames or glass covering prints, paintings, photos, or other works), and (b) will immediately pay the full purchase price or such part as RR Auction may require. In addition to other remedies available to RR Auction by law, RR Auction reserves the right to impose from the date of sale a late charge of 1.5% per month of the total purchase price if payment is not made in accordance with the conditions set forth herein. All property must be removed from RR Auction’s premises by the Bidder at his/her expense not later than thirty (30) business days following its sale and, if it is not so removed, RR Auction may send the purchased property to a public warehouse for the account, at the risk and expense of the Bidder. Payment is due upon closing of the Auction session, or upon presentment of an invoice. RR Auction reserves the right to void an invoice if payment in full is not received within thirteen (13) calendar days of the Auction or within twelve (12) calendar days of the invoice date. In cases of nonpayment, RR Auction’s election to void a sale does not relieve the Bidder from their obligation to pay RR Auction its fees (seller’s and Buyer’s Premium) on the lot and any other damages pertaining to the lot. All sales are strictly for cash in United States dollars (including U.S. currency, bank wire, cashier checks, eChecks, and bank money orders), and are subject to all reporting requirements. All deliveries are subject to good funds; funds being received in RR Auction’s account before delivery of the Purchases; and all payments are subject to a clearing period. RR Auction reserves the right to determine if a check constitutes “good funds”: checks drawn on a U.S. bank are subject to a ten (10) calendar day hold, and ten (10) business days when drawn on an international bank. Clients with pre-arranged credit status may receive immediate credit for payments via e-Check, personal or corporate checks. In the event that a Bidder’s payment is dishonored upon presentment(s), Bidder shall pay the maximum statutory processing fee set by applicable state law. If Bidder attempts to pay via check and the financial institution denies the transfer from Bidder’s bank account, or the payment cannot be completed using the selected funding source, Bidder agrees to complete payment. If RR Auction refers any invoice to an attorney for collection, the Bidder agrees to pay attorney’s fees, court costs, and other collection costs incurred by RR Auction. If RR Auction assigns collection to its house counsel, such attorney’s time expended on the matter shall be compensated at a rate comparable to the hourly rate of independent attorneys. RR Auction shall have a lien against the merchandise purchased by the Bidder to secure payment of the Auction invoice. RR Auction is further granted a lien and the right to retain possession of any other property of the Bidder then held by RR Auction or its affiliates to secure payment of any Auction invoice or any other amounts due RR Auction or affiliates from the Bidder. With respect to these lien rights, RR Auction shall have all the rights of a secured creditor, including but not limited to the right of sale. In addition, with respect to payment of the Auction invoice(s), the Bidder waives any and all rights of offset he might otherwise have against RR Auction and the consignor of the merchandise included on the invoice (the “Consignor”). If a Bidder owes RR Auction or its affiliates on any account, RR Auction and its affiliates shall have the right to offset such unpaid account by any credit balance due Bidder, and it may secure by possessory lien any unpaid amount by any of the Bidder’s property in their possession. All checks, cashiers checks, bank checks, or money orders are payable to R&R Auction Company of Massachusetts, LLC. Delivery; Shipping; and Handling Charges: Bidder is liable for shipping and handling. RR Auction is unable to


combine purchases from other auctions or affiliates into one package for shipping purposes. Lots won will be shipped in a commercially reasonable time after payment in good funds for the merchandise and the shipping fees is received or credit extended, except when third-party shipment occurs. Bidder agrees that service and handling charges related to shipping items which are not pre-paid may be charged to a credit card on file with RR Auction. Successful international Bidders shall provide written shipping instructions, including specified Customs declarations, to RR Auction for any lots to be delivered outside of the United States. NOTE: Declaration value shall be the item’(s) hammer price and RR Auction shall use the correct harmonized code for the lot. Domestic Bidders on lots designated for third-party shipment must designate the common carrier, accept risk of loss, and prepay shipping costs. Title: Title shall not pass to the successful Bidder until all invoices are paid in full. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to provide adequate insurance coverage for the items once they have been delivered to a common carrier or third-party shipper. Rights Reserved: RR Auction reserves the right to withdraw any lot before or at the time of the Auction, and/or to postpone the Auction of all or any lots or parts thereof, for any reason. RR Auction shall not be liable to any Bidder in the event of such withdrawal or postponement under any circumstances. RR Auction reserves the right to refuse to accept bids from anyone. Conducting the Auction: RR Auction reserves the right to postpone the Auction or any session thereof for a reasonable period of time for any reason whatsoever, and no Bidder or prospective Bidder shall have any claim as a result thereof, including consequential damages. RR Auction’s Discretion: RR Auction shall determine opening bids and bidding increments. RR Auction has the right in its absolute discretion to reject any bid in the event of dispute between Bidders or if RR Auction has doubt as to the validity of any bid, to advance the bidding at its absolute discretion and to determine the successful Bidder in the event of a dispute between Bidders, to continue the bidding or to reoffer and resell the lot in question. In the event of a dispute after the sale, RR Auction’s record of final sale shall be conclusive. RR Auction also may reject any bid if RR Auction decides either that any bid is below the reserve of the lot or article or that an advance is insufficient. Unless otherwise announced by RR Auction at the time of sale, no lots may be divided for the purpose of sale. Reserves: Lots may be subject to a reserve which is the confidential minimum price below which the lot will not be sold. Consignors may not bid on their own lots or property. RR Auction may, from time to time, bid on items that it does not own. Off-Site Bidding: Bidding by telephone, facsimile, online, or absentee bidding (advance written bids submitted by mail) are offered solely as a convenience and permitted subject to advance arrangements, availability, and RR Auction’s approval which shall be exercised at RR Auction’s sole discretion. Neither RR Auction nor its agents or employees shall be held liable for the failure to execute bids or for errors relating to any transmission or execution thereof. In order to be considered for off-site bidding in any manner, Bidders must comply with all of these Conditions of Sale and the terms contained on the Registration Form. RR Auction’s Remedies: Failure of the Bidder to comply with any of these Conditions of Sale or the terms of the Registration Form is an event of default. In such

event, RR Auction may, in addition to any other available remedies specifically including the right to hold the defaulting Bidder liable for the Purchase Price or to charge and collect from the defaulting Bidder’s credit or debit accounts as provided for elsewhere herein: (a) cancel the sale, retaining any payment made by the Bidder as damages (the Bidder understands and acknowledges that RR Auction will be substantially damaged should such default occur, and that damages under sub-part (a) are necessary to compensate RR Auction for such damages); (b) resell the property without reserve at public auction or privately; (c) charge the Bidder interest on the Purchase Price at the rate of one and one-half percent (1.5%) per month or the highest allowable interest rate; (d) take any other action that RR Auction, in its sole discretion, deems necessary or appropriate to preserve and protect RR Auction’s rights and remedies. Should RR Auction resell the property, the original defaulting Bidder shall be liable for the payment of any deficiency in the purchase price and all costs and expenses associated there with, including but not limited to warehousing, sales-related expenses, reasonable attorney fees and court costs, commissions, incidental damages and any other charges due hereunder which were not collected or collectable. In the event that such Bidder is the successful Bidder on more than one lot and pays less than the purchase price for the total lots purchased, RR Auction shall apply the payment received to such lot or lots that RR Auction, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate. If RR Auction does not exercise such discretion, the lots to which the payment shall be applied will be in descending order from the highest purchase price to the lowest. Any Bidder failing to comply with these Conditions of Sale shall be deemed to have granted RR Auction a security interest in, and RR Auction may retain as collateral such security for such Bidder’s obligations to RR Auction, any property in RR Auction’s possession owned by such Bidder. RR Auction shall have the benefit of all rights of a secured party under the Uniform Commercial Code (U.C.C.) as adopted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Warranties: RR Auction does not provide any warranties to Bidders, whether expressed or implied, beyond those expressly provided in these Conditions of Sale. All property and lots are sold “as is” and “where is”. By way of illustration rather than limitation, neither RR Auction nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to merchantability or fitness for intended use, condition of the property (including any condition report), correctness of description, origin, measurement, quality, rarity, importance, exhibition, relevance, attribution, source, provenance, date, authorship, condition, culture, genuineness, value, or period of the property. Additionally, neither RR Auction nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to whether the Bidder acquires rights in copyright or other intellectual property (including exhibition or reproduction rights) or whether the property is subject to any limitations or other rights. RR Auction does not make any representation or warranty as to title. All descriptions, photographs, illustrations, and terminology including but not limited to words describing condition (including any condition reports requested by Bidder, see also Terminology), authorship, period, culture, source, origin, measurement, quality, rarity, provenance, importance, exhibition, and relevance, used in the Catalog, bill of sale, invoice, or anywhere else, represent a good faith effort made by RR Auction to fairly represent the lots and property offered for sale as to origin, date, condition, and other information contained therein; they are statements of opinion only. They are not representations or warranties and Bidder agrees and acknowledges that he or she shall not rely on them in determining whether or not to bid or for what price. Price estimates (which are determined well in advance of the Auction and are therefore subject to revision) and condition reports are provided solely as a convenience to Bidders and are not intended nor shall they be relied on by Bidders as statements, representations or warranties of actual value or predictions of final bid prices. Bidders are accorded the opportunity to inspect the lots and to otherwise satisfy themselves as to the nature and sufficiency of each lot


prior to bidding, and RR Auction urges Bidders to avail themselves accordingly. All lots sold by RR Auction are accompanied by an Auction Certificate (“AC”). On any lot presented with an AC issued by RR Auction, the certification is only as to its attribution to the person or entity described or to the lot’s usage and only as explicitly stated therein (the “Certification of Authenticity”), to the exclusion of any other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to those pursuant to the Uniform Commercial Code. The Certification of Authenticity inures only to the original Bidder (as shown in RR Auction’s records). Bidder may not transfer, assign, or otherwise convey the Certification of Authenticity, and such purported transfer, assignment, or conveyance shall be null and void. The Certification of Authenticity is valid from date of the Auction in which Bidder was awarded the lot (the “Auction Date”) until five (5) years after the Auction Date, without exception. FIREARMS. RR Auction complies with all Federal and State rules and regulations relating to the purchasing, registration and shipping of firearms. A Bidder is required to provide appropriate documents and the payment of associated fees, if any. Bidder is responsible for providing a shipping address that is suitable for the receipt of a firearm. Limitation of Damages: In the event that RR Auction is prevented for any reason from delivering any property to Bidder, or Bidder is otherwise dissatisfied with the performance of RR Auction, the liability, if any, of RR Auction, shall be limited to, and shall not exceed, the amount actually paid for the property by Bidder. In no event shall RR Auction be liable for incidental, special, indirect, exemplary or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits, value of investment or opportunity cost. Unauthorized Statements: Under no circumstances is any employee, agent or representative of RR Auction authorized by RR Auction to modify, amend, waive or contradict any of these Conditions of Sale, any term or condition set forth on a registration form, any warranty or limitation or exclusion of warranty, any term or condition in either the Registration Form or these Terms and Conditions regarding payment requirements, including but not limited to due date, manner of payment, and what constitutes payment in full, or any other term or condition contained in any documents issued by RR Auction unless such modification, amendment, waiver or contradiction is contained in a writing signed by all parties. Any statements, oral or written, made by employees, agents or representatives of RR Auction to Bidder, including statements regarding specific lots, even if such employee, agent or representative represents that such statement is authorized, unless reduced to a writing signed by all parties, are statements of personal opinion only and are not binding on RR Auction, and under no circumstances shall be relied upon by Bidder as a statement, representation or warranty of RR Auction. Bidder’s Remedies: Under no circumstance will RR Auction incur liability to a Bidder in excess of the purchase price actually paid. This section sets forth the sole and exclusive remedies of Bidder in conformity with the Warranties and Limitation of Damages provisions of these Conditions of Sale, and is expressly in lieu of any other rights or remedies which might be available to Bidder by law. The Bidder hereby accepts the benefit of the Consignor’s warranty of title and any other representations and warranties made by the Consignor for the Bidder’s benefit. In the event that Bidder demonstrates in writing, in the sole discretion of RR Auction, that there was a breach of the Consignor’s warranty of title concerning a lot purchased by Bidder, RR Auction shall make demand upon the Consignor to pay to Bidder the Purchase Price (including any premiums, taxes, or other

amounts paid or due to RR Auction). Should the Consignor not pay the Purchase Price to Bidder within thirty days after such demand, RR Auction shall disclose the identity of the Consignor to Bidder and assign to Bidder all of RR Auction’s rights against the Consignor with respect to such lot or property. Upon such disclosure and assignment, all responsibility and liability, if any, of RR Auction with respect to said lot or property shall automatically terminate. RR Auction shall be entitled to retain the premiums and other amounts paid to RR Auction - this remedy is as to the Consignor only. The rights and remedies provided herein are for the original Bidder only and they may not be assigned or relied upon by any transferee or assignee under any circumstances. If Bidder wishes to challenge the AC within the period of the Certification of Authenticity, Bidder must present written evidence that the lot is not authentic as determined by a known expert in the field. If RR Auction agrees that the lot is not as represented, Bidder’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be a refund of their purchase price, with no other costs, liabilities or amounts recoverable. If RR Auction does not agree with the claim by Bidder, then the Parties shall follow the dispute resolution procedures of these Conditions of Sale. Any such challenge concerning an AC or Certification of Authenticity must, without any exception, be brought within one (1) year of Bidder’s notice to RR Auction of Bidder’s contention that the lot was not authentic, or six (6) years from the Auction Date, whichever is sooner. If the description of any lot in the Catalog is materially incorrect (e.g., gross cataloging error), the lot is returnable if returned within five (5) calendar days of receipt, and received by RR Auction no later than twenty-one (21) calendar days after the Auction Date. If there is any discrepancy between the description in the Catalog and the AC, then the description in the AC shall control. This paragraph shall constitute Bidder’s sole right with respect to the return of items, and no refunds shall be given for any items not returned to and received by RR Auction. NO RETURN OR REFUND OF ANY AUCTION LOT WILL BE CONSIDERED EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THESE CONDITIONS OF SALE. RR Auction’s Additional Services: For Bidders who do not remove purchased property from RR Auction’s premises, RR Auction, in its sole discretion and solely as a service and accommodation to Bidders, may arrange to have purchased lots packed, insured and forwarded at the sole request, expense, and risk of Bidder. RR Auction assumes no and disclaims all responsibility and liability for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by RR Auction or other packers and carriers, whether or not recommended by RR Auction. RR Auction assumes no and disclaims all responsibility and liability for damage to frames, glass or other breakable items. Where RR Auction arranges and bills for such services via invoice, RR Auction will include an administration charge. Headings: Headings are for convenience only and shall not be used to interpret the substantive sections to which they refer. Entire Agreement: These Conditions of Sale constitute the entire agreement between the parties together with the terms and conditions contained in the Registration Form. They may not be amended, modified or superseded except in a signed writing executed by all parties. No oral or written statement by anyone employed by RR Auction or acting as agent or representative of RR Auction may amend, modify, waive or supersede the terms herein unless such amendment, waiver or modification is contained in a writing signed by all parties. If any section of these Conditions of Sale or any term or provision of any section is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable by any court


of competent jurisdiction, the remaining sections or terms and provisions of a section shall continue in full force and effect without being impaired or invalidated in any way. Governing Law and Enforcement The Parties agree that any agreements between the Parties including but not limited to these Conditions of Sale are entered into in Boston, Massachusetts, no matter where Bidder is situated and no matter by what means or where Bidder was informed of the Auction and regardless of whether catalogs, materials, or other communications were received by Bidder in another location. The Parties agree that these Conditions of Sale, and any other related agreement(s) are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard for its conflict of laws principles. The Parties agree that any dispute related to or arising out of these Conditions of Sale, or related to or arising out of any other related agreement(s) shall be submitted to confidential binding arbitration (the “Arbitration”) before a single Arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association (the “AAA”). The Parties agree that the Arbitration shall be conducted pursuant to the commercial rules of the AAA. In the event that the Parties cannot agree on the selection of the Arbitrator, then the Arbitrator shall be selected by the AAA. The prevailing Party in the Arbitration shall be entitled to recover all of its related costs, whether before or after the formal institution of the Arbitration, including but not limited to its reasonable attorneys’ fees and, if RR Auction prevails, the Buyer’s Premium as defined in these Conditions of Sale. The Parties agree that Bidder shall have no right to recover consequential or indirect damages, or lost profits damages. The Parties consent to the enforcement of the decision in the Arbitration pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act in either the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Except as provided in Bidder’s Remedies with regard to the Certification of Authenticity, any dispute, claim, cause of action related to or arising out of these Conditions of Sale or any other agreement(s) between the Parties must be brought within one (1) year of the acts, omissions or circumstances giving rise to the alleged claim, without exceptions. This provision is intended as a full, complete and absolute release of any claims after one (1) year of such acts, omissions or circumstances. The Parties agree further that these waiver provisions are intended to be binding on all parties in the event of any dispute, specifically including but not limited to third party claims and cross-actions brought by either RR Auction or Bidder. These provisions are consideration for the execution of these Conditions of Sale. The Bidder hereby agrees that RR Auction shall be entitled to present these Conditions of Sale to a court in any jurisdiction other than set forth in this paragraph as conclusive evidence of the Parties’ agreement, and the Parties further agree that the court shall immediately dismiss any action filed in such jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, RR Auction may, in its sole discretion, enforce its rights pursuant to these Conditions of Sale in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts rather than in an Arbitration related to or arising out of any Auction of an item sold for less than $10,000. This right shall relate to the individual item price, such that RR Auction may, in its sole discretion, enforce its rights pursuant to these Conditions of Sale in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts rather than in an Arbitration for items that in the aggregate exceed $10,000. The prevailing Party in such a proceeding shall be entitled to recover all of its related costs, whether before or after the formal institution of the proceeding, including but not limited to its reasonable attorneys’ fees and, if RR Auction prevails, the Buyer’s Premium as defined in these Conditions of Sale. This right of enforcement is unique to RR Auction, and these Conditions of Sale are a waiver by the Bidder of any right to enforcement or adjudication outside of an Arbitration.

CONDUCT OF AUCTION Estimate Prices: In addition to descriptive information, each item in the Catalog sometimes includes a price range which reflects opinion as to the price expected at auction (the “Estimate Prices”). In other instances, Estimate Prices can be obtained by calling RR Auction at (603) 7324280. The Estimate Prices are based upon various factors including prices recently paid at auction for comparable property, condition, rarity, quality, history and provenance. Estimate Prices are prepared well in advance of the sale and subject to revision. Estimates do not include the Buyer’s Premium or sales tax (see under separate heading). Owned or Guaranteed Property: RR Auction generally offers property consigned by others for sale at public auction; in very limited occasion, lots are offered that are the property of RR Auction. Before the Auction: Bidder may attend pre-sale viewing for all of RR Auction’s auctions at no charge. All property to be auctioned is usually on view for several days prior to the sale. Bidder is encouraged to examine lots thoroughly. Bidder may also request condition reports (see below). RR Auction’s staff are available at viewings and by appointment. Maximum Bids – All Auctions: To maximize Bidder’s chance of winning, RR Auction strongly encourages the use of maximum bids. RR Auction will then bid for Bidder until the lot reaches Bidder’s specified maximum. Maximum bids are strictly confidential. Placing arbitrary, non-incremental bids on lots with prior maximum bids may result in these lots being sold for less than 10% above the under Bidder’s bid. Successful Bids: The fall of RR Auction’s hammer indicates the final bid. RR Auction will record the paddle number of the Bidder. If Bidder’s salesroom or absentee bid is successful, Bidder will be notified after the sale by mailed or emailed invoice. Unsold Lots: If a lot does not reach the reserve, it is bought-in. In other words, it remains unsold and is returned to the Consignor. RR Auction has the right to sell certain unsold items after the close of the Auction. Such lots shall be considered sold during the Auction and all these Terms and Conditions shall apply to such sales including but not limited to the Buyer’s Premium, return rights, and disclaimers. Bidding—Timed Auction: Bidder may open, monitor, and/or raise bids at any time before the close of a lot through www.rrauction.com. RR Auction offers a callback service the day of the Auction, but Bidder is responsible for supplying a correct telephone number(s) where Bidder can be reached until the Auction closes. Bidder must request this service in writing. RR Auction will make reasonable efforts to ensure that Bidders who request a callback are contacted if outbid; however, RR Auction does not guarantee this service and it is merely a courtesy and not an enforceable right. The auctioneer may also execute a bid on behalf of the consignor to protect the reserve, either by entering a bid in response to salesroom, telephone or absentee bids. Under no circumstances will the auctioneer place any bid on behalf of the consignor above the reserve. The auctioneer will not specifically identify bids placed on behalf of the consignor to protect the reserve. To ensure proper registration, those Bidders intending to bid via the Internet must visit www.RRauction.com and register accordingly at least one full day prior to the actual auction. Winning bidders will be notified by RR Auction. RR Auction is not responsible or liable for any problems, delays, or any other issues or problems resulting out of use of the Internet generally or specifically, including but not limited to transmission, execution or processing of bids.


Any Bidder may bid on any lot prior to 6 pm EST/EDT. At that time, an extended bidding period goes into effect. If Bidder has not bid on a lot before 6 pm EST/EDT, Bidder may not bid on that lot after 6 pm EST/EDT. Only those Bidders who have placed bids on a lot before 6 pm EST/EDT will be allowed to bid on that lot after 6 pm EST/EDT. If Bidder is the only Bidder on a lot at 6 pm EST/EDT, that lot is awarded to Bidder. During the extended bidding period, a lot will remain open only to those who bid on that lot prior to 6 pm EST/ EDT. All lots WITHOUT an opening bid at 6 pm EST/EDT will remain OPEN to ALL Bidders until 7 pm EST/EDT or until they receive their first bid. These lots will close immediately upon receipt of a bid or at 7 pm EST/EDT, whichever comes first. For all lots that are active after 7 pm EST/EDT, bidding will remain open until 30 minutes pass without a bid being placed on THAT lot (the “30 Minute Rule”). The 30 Minute Rule is applied on a PER LOT BASIS; each lot in the Auction closes individually based on bidding activity after 7 pm EST/ EDT. On a PER LOT BASIS, the 30 minute timer will reset each time a bid is placed after 7 pm EST/EDT. If Bidder is the high Bidder, raising Bidder’s maximum bid will NOT reset the timer. RR Auction reserves the right to close the Auction at any time at its sole discretion. Bidding - Internet – Live Auction: Bidder may open, monitor, and/or raise bids at any time before the close of a lot through www.rrauction.com. RR Auction offers a callback service the day of the Auction, but Bidder is responsible for supplying a correct telephone number(s) where Bidder can be reached until the Auction closes. Bidder must request this service in writing. RR Auction will make reasonable efforts to ensure that Bidders who request a callback are contacted if outbid; however, RR Auction does not guarantee this service and it is merely a courtesy and not an enforceable right. To ensure proper registration, those Bidders intending to bid via the Internet must visit www.RRauction.com and register accordingly at least one full day prior to the actual auction. Winning bidders will be notified by RR Auction. RR Auction is not responsible or liable for any problems, delays, or any other issues or problems resulting out of use of the Internet generally or specifically, including but not limited to transmission, execution or processing of bids. Property is auctioned in consecutive numerical order, as it appears in the catalog. The auctioneer will accept bids from those present in the salesroom or absentee bidders participating by telephone, internet or by written bid left with RR Auction in advance of the auction. The auctioneer may also execute a bid on behalf of the consignor to protect the reserve, either by entering a bid in response to salesroom, telephone or absentee bids. Under no circumstances will the auctioneer place any bid on behalf of the consignor above the reserve. The auctioneer will not specifically identify bids placed on behalf of the consignor to protect the reserve. During live Auctions, internet bids can be placed in real time through one or more of the following Third Party services: www.liveauctioneers.com, www.invaluable.com and www.icollector.com. RR Auction is not responsible or liable for any problems, delays, or any other issues or problems resulting out of use of the Internet generally or specifically, including but not limited to transmission, execution or processing of bids. RR Auction treats any third-party site bids as floor or telephone bids. Floor bids and telephone bids are always considered first over third party sites bids, and floor bids are considered earlier than telephone bids. All RR Auction lots purchased through the third party sites carry an additional Buyer’s Premium. Miscellaneous: Agreements between Bidders and Consignors to effectuate a nonsale of an item at Auction, inhibit bidding on a consigned item to enter into a private sale agreement for said item, or to utilize RR Auction’s Auction to obtain sales for non-selling consigned items subsequent to the Auction, are strictly prohibited. If a subsequent sale of a previously consigned item occurs in violation of this provision, RR Auction reserves the right to charge Bidder the applicable Buyer’s

Premium and Consignor a Seller’s Commission as determined for each auction venue and by the terms of the seller’s agreement. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions qualifies Bidder as a client who has consented to be contacted by RR Auction in the future. In conformity with “do-not-call” regulations promulgated by the Federal or State regulatory agencies, participation by the Bidder is affirmative consent to being contacted at the phone number shown in his application and this consent shall remain in effect until it is revoked in writing. RR Auction may from time to time contact Bidder concerning sale, purchase, and auction opportunities available. Rules of Construction: RR Auction presents properties in a number of collectible fields, and as such, specific venues have promulgated supplemental Terms and Conditions. Nothing herein shall be construed to waive the general Conditions of Sale by these additional rules and shall be construed to give force and effect to the rules in their entirety.

GLOSSARY OF CONDITION TERMS FOR DECADES, RR AUCTION HAS LED THE INDUSTRY IN PROVIDING AN ACCURATE AND DETAILED CONDITION STATEMENT FOR EACH ITEM THAT WE SELL. STARTING IN 2016 WE’VE DECIDED TO TAKE A FRESH APPROACH TO DESCRIBING EACH ITEM’S CONDITION. As our website and catalog images continually improve, and bidders can see obvious details from those excellent images, we’ve decided to simplify things, using the same terminology to describe an item’s overall condition (on an ascending scale of 1 to 4: good, very good, fine, very fine), but only adding specific details, if any, that would not be obvious from the illustration. VERY FINE describes an item in virtually flawless condition, and is used sparingly for items of exceptionally attractive appearance. FINE is the most common statement of condition, and applies to most items that we offer. It describes items that show expected handling wear, generally acceptable random flaws (such as light creases, small bends, etc.), and an overall appearance that is pleasing to the majority of collectors. VERY GOOD describes an item that exhibits more moderate flaws (such as toning, light staining, professional reinforcements or repairs, etc.). Most collectors would be comfortable with items in very good condition, and this would be the expected condition for many formats (early presidential documents, for example). GOOD describes an item with obvious visible flaws, including heavy wear, missing portions, or repairs that affect appearance; generally items in this condition are offered only if an item is otherwise exceedingly rare or important. Of course we’re more than happy to provide more in-depth information about any item via phone or email. We hope this new system will make for easier reading and a more pleasant bidding experience.
