The White Pine Pumped Storage Project (Project) milestones are summarized in Table 1.0-1 and the proposed construction execution schedule is attached in Section 3.0.

Final Project Completion

Activities associated with each year of construction are summarized below.

1.1 First Year of Construction (2025)

The first year of construction will consist of:

• Mobilization of construction plant, equipment, and labor

• Water Source – Site preparation, water pipeline, and wellfield installation

• Access Roads and Laydowns – Construct access roads and laydown areas

• Upper Reservoir – Start site preparation and excavation

• Lower Reservoir – Start site preparation and excavation

• Upper Hillside – Site preparation and excavation of cable and main access tunnel portals

• Tunnels – Start excavation and support of cable and main access tunnel

• Construction Power – Establish construction power connections

• Transmission Corridor – Site preparation, erect service power transmission line

1.2 Second Year of Construction (2026)

The second year of construction will consist of:

• Upper Reservoir – Complete excavation and embankments

• Lower Reservoir – Continue excavation, start embankments

• Tunnels – Continue cable and main access tunnel and start tailrace tunnel from Lower Reservoir

1.3 Third Year of Construction (2027)

The third year of construction will consist of:

• Upper Reservoir – Continue excavation, start embankments

• Lower Reservoir – Complete embankments and start lining

• Tunnels – Continue cable tunnel; continue main access tunnel; start and complete excavation of construction access, headrace, high-pressure penstocks, and draft tube tunnels. Start tailrace tunnel and headrace shaft.

• Caverns – Start and complete transformer cavern and power tunnels and start powerhouse cavern

• Transmission Corridor – Start construction HV transmission line

1.4 Fourth Year of Construction (2028)

The fourth year of construction will consist of:

• Upper Reservoir – No works

• Lower Reservoir – Complete lining and inlet/outlet structure and start filling Lower Reservoir

• Tunnels – Complete all steel and concrete lining of the underground waterways with exception of the tailrace tunnel

• Caverns – Complete powerhouse cavern excavation

• Transmission Corridor – Continue construction HV transmission line

1.5 Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Year of Construction (2029 to 2031)

The subsequent years of construction will consist of:

• Upper Reservoir – Complete lining, inlet/outlet structure and reservoir filling

• Continuing civil construction and installation of hydromechanical components

• Complete installation of the electrical and mechanical balance of plant

• Commissioning of the turbine units

• Transmission Corridor – Complete transmission line and switchyard

• Demobilization

1.6 Commercial Operation

The proposed approximate date for commercial operation is March 6, 2031.
