SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 ALL AGES • 5:00PM Participants are invited to complete a 1-mile run/walk with obstacle courses throughout Clauss Rec Center fields and path filled with the undead! The goal is to finish the course with all their lives intact (represented by flags hanging from a flag football belt). Zombies are located throughout the course and will attempt to grab participants flags. Fee includes Zombie Run T-shirt. No refunds will be issued after October 9.

It diverts pumpkins from landfills by providing locations for you to drop off your pumpkins to be composted. SUMMEROF Long sunny days, busy parks, smiling faces, and unforgettable experiences made this a Summer of FUN! Here's a look back at the people, programs, projects, and moments that defined the season.

Parks & Playgrounds Families spent the summer exploring the outdoors, staying active, and making memories together in the places that bring our community to life.

Camp Roselle From visiting Soldier Field, cheering on the Schaumburg Boomers, splashing at Kemmerling Pool, or spending time with friends, campers enjoyed an unforgettable summer.

FUN Outdoor Athletics From first swings in T-Ball to aces on the tennis court and new skateboarding skills at the park, young athletes embraced every opportunity to play, learn, and grow.

Summer was filled with active adventures, friendly competition, and fun along the way!

Special Events Residents enjoyed evenings of live music at the Summer Concerts, took a break from screens during Unplug Illinois Day, and joined us for the much-anticipated grand opening of Kemmerling Park and Splash Pad. These special events brought neighbors together and showcased the fun, connection, and community spirit that make summer so memorable.

Before & After School Care (CK)

2026-27 School Year (Waterbury & Spring Hills) The before school program operates daily from 6:30am until the start of school and the after-school program operates daily from the end of school until 6:00pm. For those enrolled in the after-school program, all early release and half days are included, no separate registration is required. The Club Kids Program provides a safe, fun, and structured environment for before and after school care. The program includes a variety of group and individual activities including homework time, games, arts, crafts, and outdoor play.

A one-time $40 non-refundable fee will be charged at registration.

Before registering for Club Kids, you must enroll using the appropriate ePACT pre-requisite code. After registration, you will receive an email from ePACT with forms that must be completed before your child may attend the program.

Age 2.25 Years by 9/1/2026, and working on potty training Curriculum emphasizes a nurturing atmosphere and an introduction to the educational process which is inviting and encouraging. Teachers assist children in experiencing a positive separation from home, provide opportunities to work with various media forms, and help develop listening and language skills. Appropriate activities include opportunities to improve gross and fine motor development, listening to simple stories, basic art projects, and working with toys, puzzles, and blocks.

Age 3 Years by 9/1/2026, and potty trained Curriculum exposes the children to structure, routine, and following directions within a schedule. Beginning concepts in reading, writing, and math; encouraging growth in social development, and promoting an awareness of health and safety are also a class focus. Appropriate activities include providing a healthy outlet for imaginary and dramatic play, working with manipulatives, listening to stories, having special visitors, going on field trips, and opportunities for students to express themselves.

Kindergarten Readiness

Age 4 Years by 9/1/2026, and potty trained The Frog Street Curriculum integrates STEAM projects, promotes problem-solving skills, and includes a research-based scope and sequence for literacy and math. This curriculum acknowledges the individual needs of all learners. This class provides further development of the educational concepts in literature, math, and science, as well as social, emotional, and physical growth. There is a greater variety of experiences to promote interest in the community and the world outside the student’s own. There are more concentrated fine motor skills such as writing letters and numbers, cutting, gluing, painting, and using manipulatives. There are many opportunities for making choices, developing problem solving skills, becoming independent thinkers, and developing confidence. Children also have visitors and go on field trips to enrich their studies of various themes.

To secure your spot in our preschool program, you can register in person at the Clauss Recreation Center by bringing in a complete registration form and $150 registration fee payment.

LITTLE MOVERS (Ages 1-4) Focus: building confidence, independence, and a love of movement. Little Movers pathway introduces young dancers to the joy of movement through music, creativity, and age-appropriate skill development. These classes focus on coordination, classroom independence, imagination, and foundational skills in a fun and nurturing environment.

PARENT & ME DANCE PARTY (Ages 1-2) Designed for children new to dance alongside a parent or caregiver, this class focuses on movement exploration, music, props, and bonding through interactive activities. A perfect first step into the dance classroom.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT (Ages 2-3) Through imaginative play, rhythm activities, obstacle courses, and introductory dance concepts, dancers build coordination, listening skills, and confidence while learning through movement.

TINY TAP/BALLET (Ages 3-4)

Focus: Building skills, exploring styles, and growing confident dancers. Our Youth Dance pathway allows dancers to develop techniques while exploring a variety of styles. Youth Volleyball Skills & Drills (MD)

GIRLS & BOYS VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES (MD)

Our program offers Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels so players can develop at the right pace for their experience and ability. Coaches help participants find the best fit, build confidence, prepare for school tryouts, and strengthen the skills needed for the next step in their volleyball journey.

Bump, Set, and Spike their way to fun! All levels are welcome.

Practices will begin on September 15, with teams formed prior to the first practice. Tentative practices are 60-90 minutes on Tu and/or Th evenings. Each team will have a minimum of 90 minutes of practice per week on average. Games are approx.

60 minutes on Saturdays against neighboring districts. Complete game schedules will be live on September 18. Leagues may be co-ed depending on enrollment. Games are scheduled to begin on October 3, with a full day tournament tentatively on Saturday, November 14.

YOUTH SPORTS YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE (MD) Grades 3rd-8th

The Roselle Park District offers boys and girls basketball leagues for 3rd through 8th graders, which may be co-rec depending on enrollment. Teams practice 1–2 times per week based on gym availability, beginning the week after Thanksgiving, with days and times determined by coach availability. Younger age groups will practice at smaller gyms due to space and skill level. Games against neighboring park districts begin in early January, primarily on Saturdays, with occasional weeknight games. Jerseys are the same as the Fall 2025/2026 season. ROOKIES BASKETBALL LEAGUE (MD) Grades 1st-2nd (CoRec)

Teams of first and second grade boys and girls, along with an adult player/coach, are forming now for our Rookies Basketball League. Games are played five-on-five, with a parent joining the action. Basic game rules will be introduced but loosely enforced.

Team rosters will include 8–10 players plus a parent/coach. The first team practice will be held the week after Thanksgiving, with teams generally practicing once per week for one hour. Home games after the first of the year will be played on Mondays or Thursdays at either 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. Away games at Medinah Park District’s Connolly Recreation Center will be scheduled based on gym availability, generally on Saturdays with varying times. Each team will play a total of eight games. All players will receive a team T-shirt before the first game and a medal at the final game. All players, parents, and coaches must sign the code of conduct.

ROSELLE RAPTORS TRAVEL BASKETBALL (MD)

Grades 3rd-8th This program is designed for athletes who demonstrate above-average ability and are interested in competing at a higher level than our in-house Youth Basketball League. Roselle Raptors teams require a significant commitment of time and effort, and parents are responsible for all transportation. Games and tournaments are typically held on weekends against teams throughout northern Illinois. The team will compete in the DYTBL and participate in 1–2 tournaments during the season. Practices begin in mid-September and the season concludes in early to mid-March, with days and times dependent on coach and gym availability. Due to limited gym space, practices may be reduced from twice per week to once per week. Given the competitive level, playing time is not guaranteed. Registration fees will be posted to household accounts the week of 8/17 after coaches finalize their rosters. Payments must be made by 10/1; participants with unpaid fees will not be allowed to attend practice and may be removed from the team. Jerseys must be purchased separately through an online store after tryouts, with the link provided by the coach. All players, parents, and coaches must sign the code of conduct.

In this Co-ed league, emphasis is placed on individual instruction, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Games are played on Saturdays in Roselle and other neighboring park districts as part of the Mid-Suburban Soccer League (MSSL).

Practices will be held during the week based on coach’s availability and will begin at least two weeks prior to game play if there are enough volunteer coaches at the time. Once the team selection process is completed, parents will be contacted by their coach to inform them of first practice location, date, and time.

Waitlists will be used until there are enough players and a volunteer coach to form additional teams.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion and President of the American Shotokan Karate Association.

ISKC’s karate classes offer a good mix of strength training, with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Students increase their coordination, agility, and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. Tiny Tumblers II (MD)

This program gives kids an opportunity to develop gross motor skills, a better sense of balance, and spatial awareness while interacting with their peers and instructor. Using mats and basic gymnastics equipment, children will have fun jumping, climbing, and crawling in a free flowing and safe environment, including various tumbling obstacle courses. The program will be a mix of instruction and “free play with parents.”

This class will feature a bit more structure and coaching than Tiny Tumblers I, incorporating swinging and rolling with an emphasis on instilling more confidence and independence while exploring basic tumbling skills and techniques. Parents will sit and watch nearby but may be asked to step in occasionally as needed.

Hourly rental fees vary by facility, residency status, and day of the week.

Staffing fees apply to all weekend rentals (Friday–Sunday) at Clauss and 10 North, as well as any rental with alcohol or more than 100 guests.

Additional charges may include damage deposits, alcohol fees, setup fees, and fees for extra services. A full fee list is available in the Facility Rental Application at rparks.org/rentals.

4 Paws Dog Park (MW)

The Skate Park is unsupervised. Skate and bike at your own risk.

Bring your dogs to get off leash, play, and socialize with other dogs. 4 Paws Dog Park is a roughly 30,000 sq ft fenced in by a 4 ft fence that features separate small and large dog sections, play equipment, benches, and a shade structure. An annual Pooch Pass allows you and your canine companion to enjoy Roselle’s very own dog park! At the time of registration, participants will receive a copy of the rules, membership tag, lanyard and security key to access the park. The membership tag, key and lanyard must be with owner at all times. In order to register, individuals must bring a copy of each dog’s immunization records to the Park District. We want to provide those who have purchased the pass a fun and safe environment! Dog owners not complying will be subject to fines of up to $1,000. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR SECURITY KEY WHEN USING THE DOG PARK! A new locking system has been installed at the park to ensure the safety and security of Pooch Pass holders and their canine companions.

Lake Park Student Parking Permits (CK) Lake Park student parking permits for the 2026-27 school year for the Clauss Recreation Center parking lot are available for purchase. Permit applications require a parent/guardian signature and driver’s initials on each listed rule and regulation. Spaces are limited to 66 spaces in the back two rows of the parking lot. A single parking permit is valid for use in 2 different cars. Any more than two cars will be charged an additional $10 per car. Vehicles parked without the corresponding permit on record, not parked in the designated parking area, or parked before or after set parking hours will be towed at owner’s expense. Parking permit may be revoked, denied, or not renewed for violations of District rules and regulations. A replacement can be purchased for $10.

RPD Patron Code of Conduct

The game is similar to traditional golf. Players use golf discs instead of balls and clubs and throw them at above-ground targets. The object of the game is to throw a golf disc into the target in the fewest number of throws. The combination of challenges to players, include distance, accuracy, wind, trees, shrubbery, water and terrain changes. The unique challenges offer plenty of action and excitement during the course of a game.

Roselle Park District is committed to providing a safe, clean and fun environment for all participants and guests. By doing so, patrons are required to act appropriately and be respectful of others at all times when using Park District parks and facilities. Persons using Roselle Park District facilities are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner. The Roselle Park District Code of Conduct does not permit language or any action that may hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Directions issued by Park District staff must be followed at all times. The following actions are prohibited at Roselle Park District facilities and parks:

• Physical contact with another individual or staff member in an angry, violent or threatening manner • Any demonstration of sexual activity or sexual suggestiveness • Carrying or concealing weapons or devices that may be used as a weapon • Use or possession of illegal chemicals or alcohol on Park District property without proper permits • Abuse of Park District equipment, supplies and property • Theft of services • Smoking and loitering inside or outside of Roselle Park District facilities/grounds • Continuous poor sportsmanship or overaggressive competitiveness from players or spectators • Any other unacceptable behavior including inappropriate dress

CONDUCT ORDINANCE

Ordinance No. 042325-A, adopted by the Board of Commissioners, governs the use of parks and property owned or controlled by the Roselle Park District and outlines expected conduct. The Roselle Police Department is authorized to issue citations or make arrests for violations of this ordinance, as well as any applicable Village of Roselle ordinances or State of Illinois laws. Violations may result in penalties or fines, confiscation of prohibited items, and/or suspension from Park District property, facilities, and programs.”

We encourage all patrons to be vigilant and report prohibitive acts by other persons. If a prohibitive act is witnessed, please contact Park District staff and we will be happy to be of assistance when parties are found not following the code of conduct. Please inform staff members when rules are being broken so that proper actions may be taken. Any violation of these guidelines may result in: a verbal warning, a written warning, immediate removal from the facility, suspension from Park District property, suspension of membership for a designated period of time or revocation of membership. The Roselle Park District will investigate all reported incidents on a case-by-case basis.

GENERAL INFO RESIDENCY

Not all Roselle residents are Roselle Park District residents.

Even if you have a Roselle address, you may pay property taxes to another park district. Therefore, proof of residency is required at the time of first registration. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, utility bill, mortgage statement, or lease. A birth certificate may be required for dependents under 18. The District may periodically request that households reverify residency.

ONLINE REGISTRATION Register for programs anytime from the comfort of your home using a credit or debit card through a secure, encrypted connection. To get started, visit www.rparks.org and click REGISTER. What You Need to Register Online: • Username and password • Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) Upon completing your registration and payment, a confirmation email with a receipt will be sent to you.

Programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some programs may not be available online within 24 hours to two business days prior to the start date.

If you do not have a username and password, visit the registration page, click Register Household, and complete the Online Registration Enrollment Form. Your login information will be emailed to you within two business days. You may also visit the CRC to set up your household in person.

PAYMENT & WAIVERS

Acknowledgment and signature of all required waivers and releases, along with full payment, are required at the time of registration for processing. Waivers are included on the bottom portion of program registration forms, designated sign-in sheets, and fitness membership applications. These must be signed by the adult participating in an adult program, or by a parent or legal guardian for participants under age 18. Credit card payments require an additional signature to authorize payment.

For these reasons, phone registrations are not accepted.

REGISTER EARLY Please register at least one week in advance. Waiting until the last minute can lead to program cancellations when enrollment is too low and registering the day of or the day before will not bring a canceled program back. To avoid disappointment please try to register as early as possible.

WAITLIST PROCESS A waitlist is created when a class exceeds its maximum enrollment. Names are added in the order registrations are processed. The front desk or program supervisor will contact customers for confirmation before placing them on a waitlist or moving them from the waitlist into the program. Please note: all required paperwork and payment must be completed before a participant can be transferred into a program.

TRANSFERS A transfer allows participants to move their registration from one program to another or from one household member to another within the same household. Transfer requests must be submitted at least two business days prior to the program’s first class, meeting, or practice. Any additional fee balance must be paid at the time of transfer for registration in the new program to be completed. Transfers between different households are not permitted, and waitlists may not be bypassed through a transfer.

GENERAL INFORMATION RETURNED CHECK POLICY We gladly accept personal checks as payment. If a check is returned for any reason marked “NSF,” we will contact you. Full payment, along with a $30 processing fee, must be made by cash or money order within five business days or prior to the program start date, whichever comes first. Program participation privileges will be suspended, and no new registrations will be accepted until payment is received.

REFUND POLICY The Roselle Park District endorses a customer satisfaction policy and strives to provide high quality programs, services, and facilities. However, sometimes expectation levels or situations occur that do not meet the satisfaction of our customers and a refund request is made.

INSURANCE COVERAGE The Roselle Park District does not provide medical or accident insurance for injuries sustained while participating in programs or using park facilities. Accordingly, the Park District cannot assume responsibility for personal injuries incurred during participation or facility use. Participants are encouraged to secure coverage through their own personal insurance plans.

6. The Park District will not issue refunds for fitness center memberships or Lake Park High School student parking permits.

7. Some classes, programs, and fees have specific refund policies that will be adhered to.

8. The Park District reserves the right to judge refund requests on a case-by-case basis and partial or full refunds may or may not be approved at any time at the discretion of the district.
