Over recent years ROYD have invested massively into increasing operational capacity to ensure service levels never falter, even with a growing customer base and product ranges.

In 2022, our operational capacity and service levels are at an all-time high. We’re pleased to offer next day delivery on over 300 products due to a large UK stockholding, and deliver on full, in time with a success rate over 99%.

We are committed to ensuring you never lose potential business due to supply chain disruptions. To strengthen this commitment we hold 3 months of safety stock in our UK distribution centre for key product lines ensuring a high inventory service level.

Furthermore, we make use of real time data analytics and machine learning algorithms to compute the optimum supply chain inventory levels. It allows us to respond quickly to changes in buying behaviours which is communicated to our suppliers. Our systems also trigger automated alerts letting us know when changes occur, so our demand planners can adjust the inventory plan accordingly.

With such robust operational capacity we’re exceedingly confident of upholding our core offering of excellent stock availability and fast delivery both in present and future.

We are also a Sedex member and committed to sourcing responsibly and having an ethical and sustainable supply chain. Using Sedex tools and services helps our business work with our suppliers to ensure they are upholding safe, ethical and sustainable business practices, helping us to protect the working conditions for people working in our supply chain.

Packaging

Zero single-use plastic

100% recyclable

In 2021 we launched our ‘Zero100’ campaign to have 0% single-use plastics across our product ranges and for all products to be produced in 100% recyclable packaging by the end of 2023.

Such a drive will ensure ROYD introduces zero-single use plastics into the supply chain, significantly reducing ours and our customers carbon footprint. Changes to our product packaging also allow us to realise large increases in storage and logistical efficiency for the entire supply chain with product volume reductions of up to 67%.

As well as the significant changes already in motion, ROYD has also set the target of being Carbon Neutral by 2025. Whilst the Zero100 campaign will eliminate single-use plastics and ensure all packaging is recyclable, contributing massively towards our Carbon Neutral target, it is the logistical efficiencies gained through packaging volume reduction which makes an even larger contribution.

Furthermore, ROYD plan to reduce carbon emissions through electric vehicle fleets, both in-house and with our logistics partners. Then engaging with an appropriate Carbon Offsetting initiative to continue to monitor, reduce and offset our environmental impact and to become a sustainable and Carbon Neutral organisation.

Impact Bits

When using extreme performance screws it only makes sense to pair them with the highest quality bits to drive them in. For this reason Optimaxx introduced a range of torsion impact bits, manufactured to the highest quality standards. With both elements working in unison, the trade user is guaranteed maximum performance and reliability, always.

Specialist Fixings

Built to the same ‘extreme performance’ standards, Optimaxx have broadened the range of wood screws and fixings for more specialist applications and scenarios. Products have been carefully innovated and optimised for maximum performance in their intended application, such as decking, flooring, landscaping or masonry.
