We are committed to ensuring you never lose potential business due to supply chain disruptions. To strengthen this commitment we hold 3 months of safety stock in our UK distribution centre for key product lines ensuring a high inventory service level.

Furthermore, we make use of real time data analytics and machine learning algorithms to compute the optimum supply chain inventory levels. It allows us to respond quickly to changes in buying behaviours which is communicated to our suppliers. Our systems also trigger automated alerts letting us know when changes occur, so our demand planners can adjust the inventory plan accordingly.

With such robust operational capacity we’re exceedingly confident of upholding our core offering of excellent stock availability and fast delivery both in present and future.

In 2021 we launched our ‘Zero100’ campaign to have 0% single-use plastics across our product ranges and for all products to be produced in 100% recyclable packaging by the end of 2023.

Such a drive will ensure ROYD introduces zero-single use plastics into the supply chain, significantly reducing ours and our customers carbon footprint. Changes to our product packaging also allow us to realise large increases in storage and logistical efficiency for the entire supply chain with product volume reductions of up to 67%.

As well as the significant changes already in motion, ROYD has also set the target of being Carbon Neutral by 2025. Whilst the Zero100 campaign will eliminate single-use plastics and ensure all packaging is recyclable, contributing massively towards our Carbon Neutral target, it is the logistical efficiencies gained through packaging volume reduction which makes an even larger contribution.

Furthermore, ROYD plan to reduce carbon emissions through electric vehicle fleets, both in-house and with our logistics partners. Then engaging with an appropriate Carbon Offsetting initiative to continue to monitor, reduce and offset our environmental impact and to become a sustainable and Carbon Neutral organisation.

The Titanium series is one of the biggest and most popular innovations from SMART. Since its launch in 2016, it has been very popular with end-users and retailers alike. The main reason for this is that it solves one of the industry’s biggest annoyances about multi-tool blades (hitting a nail and destroying the blade!) while offering a much simpler, versatile range of blades for any user.

The Titanium Series blades are designed to not only deliver a comparable cut to any wood blade but with the development of the new Purple Titanium Aluminium Nitrate (TiAIN) coating, they also last longer than any other Bi-Metal blade when it comes to cutting through nails, copper pipes and even screws!

The heat build up on the toothed edge when cutting steel and non-ferrous metal is what reduces the life of the blade and the TiAIN coating provides a friction reduction function which reduces this and increases the life of the blade.

This gives the user confidence knowing there is no risk of accidentally dulling the edge of the blade on a hidden nail or screw and ensuring that there is no loss of cutting performance when you need to cut through wood.
